If you know, you know! Dubois, WY… A few months ago, I featured the Museum of Military Vehicles just outside of Dubois, Wyoming. While you’re in the area, there are a few other stops to make sure you don’t miss.

For decades, the strawberry rhubarb pie served at the Cowboy Cafe has been a favorite of mine, but did you know you can purchase this homemade delight by the whole pie just down the street at the Country Store Travel Shop? You can’t miss the place. There is an enormous Jackalope outside the building. Inside, along with various Jackalope themed gifts, you’ll find a freezer stocked with the same handmade pies served at the Cowboy Cafe. Make your family happy with one of these as a souvenir!

A little farther east, you can find the Honey House. This newer stop in the area is where you’ll find fresh, truly local honey and other bee-associated products. There is even a live hive in the store! When honeycomb is in stock, you don’t want to miss the chance to get some. The beeswax candles are also high on the must-have list.

Many Wyoming visitors love to take home a piece of the landscape in the way of Wyoming artwork. Gary Keimig’s studio of wildlife and western art provides an opportunity to own beautiful original (or print) art work from a true Wyoming local. His realistic paintings bring Wyoming to life no matter where the picture might hang.
