Cabo San Lucas is well know for it's rocky cliffside landscape, but it's most well known formation is El Acro, the Archway to the Pacific. this natural archway formed near the tip of the baha pen*sula passes thru from the Sea of Cortes on the east, the the Pacific ocean on the west. Another fun fact, there is a great beach right beside this arch where you can enjoy a view of both the Sea Cortes and the Pacific Ocean at the same time.

When we travel, we love trying the signature cocktail of each destination. In St. Kitts & Nevis, that honor goes to the Ting with a Sting — a bright, citrusforward island classic built around Ting, the Caribbean’s beloved grapefruit soda. Crisp, refreshing, and unmistakably tropical, this drink has become as iconic as the views from Timothy Hill overlooking both the Atlantic and Caribbean Sea.

Created by local bartenders in St. Kitts in the early 2000s, the Ting with a Sting quickly became a favorite across beach bars and resorts. Its simple blend of rum and grapefruit soda delivers a perfect balance of sweet, tart, and lightly bitter — the taste of the islands in a glass.

Classic Ting with a Sting Cocktail Recipe
2 oz White or Gold Rum
4 oz Ting Grapefruit Soda
(Fresca or Sq**rt will work)
½ oz Fresh Lime Juice
Garnish: Lime Wedge or Grapefruit Slice

Instructions
Fill a tall glass with ice.
Add rum and lime juice.
Top with Ting grapefruit soda.
Stir gently and garnish with a lime wedge or grapefruit slice.

I love Cloud 9 Cabins, not only do you get access to the thermas suites, but they also come with some perks and amenities that other cabins don't, such as robes, Elemis soaps in cabin, and a discount on spa treatments. But! if your are like me, and you like a little pampering on your cruise, just remember that Carnival Venezia and Carnival Firenze were built without a thermal suite, and for this reason, they do not have Cloud 9 cabins.

Costa Maya is a small remote port on the Southern Caribbean coast of Mexico. Until recently, one of the best attractions in Costa Maya was the Lost Mayan Kingdom water park. The water park was recently closed and demolished in a premature move by Royal Caribbean to make way for their now unlikely port takeover. Have no fear tho, there is still however a great port side resort with pools, loungers and plenty of shade to enjoy your day here along with w large shipping district with restaurants and other outlets including an Amarino Gelato location, and this is all just steps away from the pier. When we travel, we love sampling the signature cocktails of each destination — and on Catalina Island, the menu at Descanso Beach Club made it impossible to choose just one. After scanning the list of tropical temptations, we couldn’t decide between the Descanso Destroyer and the Catalina Punch — so we ordered both. Each captures the island’s laidback beach vibe in its own delicious way.

Descanso Destroyer Recipe
2 oz Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum
½ oz Don Q 151 Rum
½ oz Amaretto
Splash Grenadine
2 oz Orange Juice
2 oz Pineapple Juice
Garnish: Fruit Skewer

Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice.
Shake lightly and pour into a hurricane glass over fresh ice.
Garnish with a colorful fruit skewer for that beachbar finish.

Catalina Punch Recipe
1 oz Blackheart Spiced Rum
1 oz Malibu Rum
1 oz Passion Fruit Purée
2 oz Pineapple Juice
2 oz Orange Juice
Splash Grenadine
Garnish: Dried Pineapple Slice

Instructions:
Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake until chilled.
Strain into a tall glass over ice.
Top with a dried pineapple slice and enjoy the sunset.
