It wasn’t the day I had planned… but sometimes, that’s just how travel goes. ☁️💙

We started the morning with another delicious breakfast at Edessa—the Greek restaurant we’ve come to love here! My original plan was a full day of poolside lounging and ocean dips, but the weather had other plans. 🌧️

Rain rolled in around lunchtime and lingered through most of the day. By 4pm, I was actually cold in the pool—definitely not typical for Jamaica! So we packed it up, got ready early, and made the most of the evening.

We met up with some friends for pre-dinner drinks, then headed back to Edessa for our final dinner on property. I went all-in on my favorites: lemon chicken soup, baked feta, and chicken kebabs. Every bite was perfection. 🍋🫒🍗

And the night didn’t end there—we wrapped up with a fantastic magic show by a professional Jamaican magician who absolutely blew us away. 🎩✨ It was the perfect surprise to end the trip with a little extra wonder.

Not every day goes as planned… but sometimes, the unexpected turns into a memory you’ll never forget. ❤️

🌤️☕ Day Five at Sandals Dunn’s River 🌊🔥

Another day in paradise—with a little morning rain, but just like the days before, it didn’t last long and gave way to a beautiful, adventure-filled day!

🍽️ We started the morning with breakfast at Odessa, the Greek restaurant here on property. I had a smoothie bowl and a little oatmeal—both so fresh and delicious. The perfect light start to our day.

🛶 Once the skies cleared, Robby and I headed out for a kayak ride along the coastline. We went out for a good while and had the best time. Peaceful, beautiful, and a bit of a workout too!

☀️ After kayaking, we spent the rest of the afternoon poolside, soaking in the sunshine, the good vibes, and all the beauty of Sandals Dunn’s River.

🌮 For lunch, we walked out to the Beachside Grill and enjoyed a casual meal with ocean views. You just can’t beat beachside dining!

🍽️ Dinner was something special tonight—we went to Zuka, which offers Latin fusion cuisine, and I ordered their signature surf and turf. Honestly? It may have been the best meal I’ve had this entire trip. Absolutely unforgettable.

☕ Of course, we made another stop at BLŪM Café for a coffee before the evening show. That little spot has become our favorite go-to!

🔥 Tonight’s entertainment was set right out on the beach—an amazing fire show that lit up the night. Such talent, such energy… we loved every minute.

💙 We’ve grown close with several of the incredible entertainment staff during our stay, and tonight was their last shift before their days off. We made sure to get a picture with them to remember just how much joy they brought to our trip.

Another magical day filled with fun, flavor, and new friendships. Sandals continues to exceed our expectations in every way. ✨

🌧️☕ Day Four at Sandals Dunn’s River 🎷🍣🛟🪩

Today was a little slower to start, but it turned into one of our most adventure-filled yet!

🌦️ We eased into the morning with breakfast at the buffet, then strolled over to BLŪM Café where Robby grabbed one of their specialty drinks and we just enjoyed the peaceful vibes.

🎷 As the rain cleared, we listened to the sounds of a live saxophone player by the pool—it was such a chill and beautiful way to start the day.

☀️ Once the sun made its appearance, we spent the whole day poolside, soaking it in and having a blast.

🍕 Lunch was wood-fired pizza from the poolside grill—simple and perfect.

🎢 Mid-afternoon, we added a little adventure into the mix:
🛟 We rode the big tube again (yes, the one where they try to sling you off at full speed!) and laughed the entire time.
🛥️ Then we headed out on the glass bottom boat tour, another amazing included excursion at Sandals. The reef views were beautiful and it was such a relaxing way to enjoy the sea.

📸 Before dinner, we had a photo session to capture more memories from our trip—can’t wait to see how they turned out!

🍣 For dinner, we went to Hanami, the resort’s sushi restaurant, and tried several different rolls—each one better than the last. So fresh and flavorful!

🪩 We wrapped up the night dancing at the silent disco in the plaza. Everyone had headphones on and danced to their own beat—it’s hilarious, energetic, and seriously so fun. A perfect way to end the day!

The best part? The tube ride, glass bottom boat, and so many of these experiences are included with your stay at Sandals. No extra cost—just extra fun. 💙

🌅 Day Three at Sandals Dunn’s River 🐚⛵

Today was a perfect blend of productivity and play!

🖥️ We started the morning a bit slower, allowing me to catch up on some travel work from our room—finalizing my newsletter and getting it ready to send

🍽️ Once the work was done, we headed back to Edessa, the Greek restaurant on the property, for breakfast. I enjoyed a refreshing fruit plate and indulged in their Crunchy Coconut French Toast, topped with caramelized bananas and rum syrup—it was absolutely divine! 

⛵ Post-breakfast, we embarked on a sailing lesson. Our instructor took us out on a Hobie Cat for about 45 minutes, teaching us the basics of sailing and sharing insights about the boat’s parts. The highlight was Robby taking the helm and sailing us back to shore—it was such a fun and educational experience!

🛍️ In the afternoon, we joined a Club Level shopping excursion, visiting three different spots. One was a local craft market, where the vendors were enthusiastic and eager to showcase their handmade crafts. The energy was vibrant, and it was wonderful to see the local artistry up close.

🍗 A fun twist to our day—we requested a stop at KFC, and our driver, along with the Club Level concierge, made it happen! If you haven’t tried KFC in Jamaica, you’re missing out; it’s a unique and flavorful experience that’s quite different from back home.

☕ Later, Robby and I visited BLŪM Café for a relaxing coffee break, enjoying the serene ambiance.

🎪 We concluded our day with an acrobatic show that left us in awe—the performers were incredibly talented and entertaining.

🌊 Day Two at Sandals Dunn’s River ☕🎶
Another fun-filled, sun-soaked day in Jamaica!

🎶 We started our morning poolside with the smooth island sounds of a steel drum player—such a peaceful and joyful way to ease into the day.

🍽️ Breakfast was at the buffet, and then we decided to stay poolside and soak in the vibes until our snorkeling trip! 🐠

🚤 Snorkeling is included with your stay here (such a cool perk!). A small group of us went out to a nearby reef, and we had a blast exploring the colorful underwater world. The water was crystal clear and full of life!

🥗 After we got back, we grabbed some lunch (no pics this time!) and then had the chance to explore a special treat—local Jamaican artisans were set up on property, showcasing and selling their handmade artwork and crafts. 🎨 I snapped a picture of some beautiful hand-painted wooden pieces that really captured the spirit of the island. I love that Sandals invites local craftsmen to share their work with guests—it’s such a thoughtful way to connect with the culture while supporting small businesses.

💦 After that, it was back to the pool for more fun in the sun. We met some great people, and Robby even jumped into a game of water volleyball! 🏐

🍝 Dinner tonight was at Cascata, the Italian restaurant on property, and it was delicious! We had warm bread service, I had the shrimp bruschetta to start, followed by a rich, cheesy lasagna, and then we both had cannolis for dessert. Yes. Please. 🤤

☕ After dinner, we wandered up to BLŪM Café for a cozy coffee and sat outside in the cool Jamaican breeze. It was one of those simple, perfect vacation moments.

🎤 We wrapped up the night with a round of 80s trivia (so fun!) and live music from a singer named Ray and his band, The Iconic. They were amazing and kept the crowd dancing and singing along.

🌴 Day One at Sandals Dunn’s River 🏖️✨
Our first full day in paradise did not disappoint!

☀️ We kicked things off with a walk around the gorgeous resort and stumbled upon the cutest little mobile cart from the BLŪM Café. I mean, iced coffee in paradise? Yes, please!

📸 We met the sweetest couple who offered to take our photo by the iconic I ❤️ Sandals sign — always a must-do!

🍽️ Breakfast at Edessa, the Greek restaurant on property, was everything. I had the most delicious smoothie bowl that I’m still thinking about.

🌊 Then it was straight to the beach for the day! We soaked up the sun and even dared to ride the big inflatable tube (I think it’s called Big Mama 😂). We were laughing the entire time—pretty sure the speedboat driver was on a mission to launch us into the Caribbean.

🥗 Lunch was at the beachside Galene’s Bar & Grill. I had a fresh fruit salad and the spinach & blue cheese salad — so good, so refreshing.

🍹 I also sipped on a classic Bob Marley drink by the pool because, well…vacation mode.

🍸 As Club Level guests, we got invited to the Monday Martini Party — and I chose a chocolate martini. 10/10 recommend.

🌙 We ended the night back at Edessa for dinner. Bread service, baked feta appetizer, some kind of dreamy shrimp entrée, and I asked if I could try a chicken kebab and they brought me one just because. Incredible service + flavors!

What. A. Day. 🥰
