Have a look at this Whitefin Shiner in spawning colors we caught on our Minnow Mania Safari this past Saturday! Love how those colors work together! We ended with 15 species on the day! We'll be back at it in the fall in the Sandhills looking at a totally different species composition.

Y'all get a look at the haul one of our clients had this past Saturday on our Fossil Hunt. Plenty of teeth and shark vertebra, a turtle shell fragment, some dolphin cartilage, and have a go at the root to that Meg tooth 😍

The storm clouds couldn't keep us from Fossil Hunting on Saturday! We managed to find a good haul of teeth with a couple of heartbreaker giants. We'll be heading back in the Fall for those looking to trek back in time and take home some treasures to show off to your friends!

We had an awesome time on the Three Rivers this weekend as we managed to catch the tail end of Spider Lily season! It's not every day you get to see endangered plants and we're lucky to have good people working to conserve & grow these patches. Everyone was able to walk away with great stories of their time on water, especially those that took a dip 😜

Next up on our Double Whammy of Carolina Safaris was our Mississippi Kites Flight at the West Columbia Riverwalk. For one week out of the year a migratory flock of kites gather at the confluence of the Congaree River where they feed on emerging insects flying around the rapids. It's such a spectacular showing of these birds, effortlessly cutting through the air. We ended up with a count of 51 on Sunday.
