While you were sleeping: Cayucos experiences unique impacts during a strong south/southwest swell combined with high tides. The 6.7-ft.tidal peak Monday occurred shortly before 11 PM.

🌊 During such tidal peaks, the surging south swell will push water high up the sloping sand. The beach can completely disappear, causing waves to lap near or against the seawalls.
