Looking for volunteers to help at Applefest ride events. We need rides up to the Grand Mesa Lodge with bikes, judges for the Park Jam, and help with the supporting the road bike tour. If any of these interesting you, please let me know! Actually, forget about volunteering!! You should be riding in one of these!! What is wrong with you!?! Got something better to do?!? Get out there!! These are the only events we've put on all year and they WILL be great!

Checked out conditions on the klunker run. Join us Friday October 4th during Applefest for our official Klunker Run. Mostly a smooth ride (except 2225 Road) - just one spot that needs some maintenance. This is how long it takes me to get from Alexander Lake Lodge to Main Street in Cedaredge. If you can beat me down this route on a klunker, you get a $100 gift card to the bike shop. Accepting challenges between now and the official Run. If you beat me during the actual run, the prize is double. Bike rule: your bike must only have a single speed, a coaster brake, and a rigid frame. If it passes tech, you qualify. Helmets absolutely required; pads & armor highly recommended.

From this point forward Grand Mesa Outdoors will be a guiding company only, providing private bike and ski tours of Delta County and the Grand Mesa. Silent Country Cycle & Ski will continue to provide retail and repair services to your bikes and skis!

Our sign is going away soon. Grand Mesa Outdoors is closing, but only as a retail outlet. Silent Country Cycle & Ski will be our name in business going forward. We will still have many of the same services you've enjoyed such as bike and ski services, hunting & fishing licenses, gun club memberships, Chacos, Osprey hydration kits & backpacks, and Smartwool socks, as well as some convenience items for the seasons like fishing bait and tackle. and ski wax.
Grand Mesa Outdoors is going to become Delta County's only bike and ski guiding company providing tours of the real backcountry, showing you places in Delta County and the Grand Mesa you never knew existed.

Saturday evening update from CDOT (3/11): Highway 65 is open and not much snow is anticipated to fall overnight. However, the PARKING LOTS ARE NOT PLOWED and will not be until Monday morning at the soonest.

Groomer Dave plans to groom Skyway and County Line trail systems tomorrow night or Monday morning.
