Colombian Cuisine 🍽️

One of our favorite parts of our “taste” of Colombia was the wide variety of food the city of Cartagena had to offer! Being a coastal city, there was plenty of access to top quality seafood, which can be harder to find in cities like the capital, Bogota.

Our breakfast, pictured in the third slide, was a decadent start to our day with an omelet made with sweet onions and plantain patties with a sour cream topping.

Lunch was at Celele, an extremely popular and hard to reserve spot nestled in the heart of the city. Our private guide managed to get us a table, an after placing our order (and thanks to the guide’s personal connections with the staff), we were able to walk around the city until our food was ready to be served. Sitting down and enjoying both a pork and local hen dish full of flavor was exciting, and even more so once we realized Celele was on the Top 50 Restaurants in the WORLD for 2025! What a way to start off our adventure!

The Colors of Cartagena 🇨🇴

Cartagena, Colombia, is a beautiful city bursting with vibrant colors and displays of creativity. From the intricate murals to the handmade rooftop decorations, every street of this city feels alive.
