Because we rented a car for the first part of the trip, we decided to head to Kennedy Space Center. It was an hour drive from our Disney hotel. We spent five hours exploring, though we could have stayed a few extra hours to see more. I would definitely recommend this additional experience for those who are interested!

We had some amazing Lightning Lanes this trip, which helped us skip long lines and experience more of the park in a shorter period of time (giving us lots of pool time in the evening back at our resort). There are different types of passes offered, and they are subject to availability. As a travel agent, I offer tips and expertise to my clients (free of charge!) who are interested in this feature to maximize their time, money, and experience.

I am often asked about the food options at Disney. My response: you will never go hungry while you are there! We enjoyed a mix of character dinings at Chef Mickey’s and Toppolino’s, as well as hibachi at Teppan Edo. Between our reserved dinings, we ate our favorite quick-service meals and snacks. Popcorn and Mickey bars are always a daily treat! Dining plans are available within a WDTC package, or you can choose as you go! My biggest tips are to reserve sit-down meals ahead of time (60 days in advance) and to take advantage of mobile ordering for quick-service meals to save time waiting in line.

If you’ve never experienced a Disney water park before, you are missing out! Guests staying at Disney World Resort hotels in 2025 can enjoy complimentary access to a Disney water park on their check-in day. This benefit allows registered overnight guests to visit either Disney's Typhoon Lagoon or Disney's Blizzard Beach (whichever is open) on the day they arrive. The benefit is valid for the day of check-in only and cannot be transferred to another day. Because we had a split stay (meaning we stayed at two different resorts this trip), we were able to go to both! 🙌🏼

We are big fans of the wave pools, the slides, and the lazy rivers. We can’t wait to go back next time!

The best way to cure the post-Disney Cruise blues is to book another one! 😉 I may have gone a little overboard because I booked our next two, but Disney cruises really are a perfect mix of Disney magic and relaxation. We can’t wait to go back!

I occasionally get asked, “what’s there to do on a Disney cruise ship?” We love to play trivia (we won 3x on this cruise!), meet characters, do the drawings and crafts, and visit the spa/Rainforest Room or one of the adults-only bars while the girls visit the kids club. The dining on Disney cruises are exceptional, from rotational fine dining to quick-service meals at the Cabanas and pool deck; you can even order a Mickey bar or room service for free! I’m a big nerd for the photo package, so I make my family take nightly pictures with me by the back-drops! 😂 There is plenty to do for anyone in the family, and all daily activities can be found in the Disney Cruise app during your sailing.
