Travel program transitions can feel overwhelming, especially when existing solutions are deeply embedded across teams and regions. But modernizing doesn’t have to come at the expense of stability.

A strong implementation strategy should reduce friction, support travelers throughout the process, and create a more connected experience across booking, servicing, and reporting.

In our latest blog, we explore what successful change management looks like for today’s travel programs: https://bit.ly/43xtZ8y

New Global Business Travel Association - GBTA research supported by Direct Travel, Marriott Hotels, and Spotnana shows strong interest in how AI can improve the business travel experience.

🔷 95% want AI-driven policy recommendations
🔷 89% want automated disruption management
🔷 85% want AI-powered traveler support

But adoption is still in the early stages. Why?

Because AI is only as effective as the infrastructure behind it. Connected systems, reliable data, and consistent workflows all play a critical role.

The tech is advancing quickly. The opportunity now is building the foundation that allows travel programs to benefit from it.

As AI adoption accelerates and traveler expectations rise, business travel is rapidly evolving to keep pace. Yet many travel programs are still struggling with disconnected systems, inconsistent experiences, and limited visibility across regions.

To determine what is needed to help close the gap, Direct Travel joined up with Marriott Hotels and Spotnana to support new Global Business Travel Association - GBTA research surveying more than 250 travel buyers across Europe and North America.

🔷 61% of global travel buyers say managing travel globally is a challenge
🔷 Only 12% have a single consolidated view of their program
🔷 58% say AI has had little or no impact on their program so far

These findings point to a clear opportunity: building more connected global travel experiences that bring together visibility, consistency, and smarter decision-making across regions. Explore the full report: https://bit.ly/4dvQ5Ns
