We have been serving the people in and around Centerville Georgia continuously since 1967. We continually seek service-minded individuals to experience the pride of being a Lion, satisfaction in helping others, a commitment to carry out and accomplish community goals and fellowship in the largest service organization in the world. Open to any person with good moral character and a good reputation.

Lions Club International is the largest service organization in the world. Our mission includes:
• Sight conservation and work with the visually impaired
• Hearing conservation and work with the hearing impaired
• Citizenship, educational, health and social services
• Youth programs including drug education and prevention, community outreach and volunteer programs
• Diabetes detection and research

We meet twice a month, one each on the first and third Mondays each month at 7:00 p.m. where we discuss the business and projects of the Centerville Lions Club. At the first meeting, our Club President conducts business of the Club and members participate in decisions on club matters. The second meeting is Program Night which is also a dinner meeting when spouses and guests are invited to join in the spirit of Lionism. The program consists of interesting talks on a variety of subjects given by guest speakers from many walks of life and professions.

Our April Program Speaker was Kathalene Gilbert, Executive Director of Rainbow House.
The Rainbow House Children's Resource Center (Rainbow House CRC) is an organization devoted to reducing the occurrence of child abuse and assisting the victims. Rainbow House coordinates community efforts throughout Houston County in child abuse education, advocacy, treatment, family support, prevention, and training. We are a child-friendly facility where children feel more comfortable talking about their situation.

Our March Program Speaker was Houston County Probate Judge Kristen Harris. She had lots of useful information for us.
