We’ve been in Seattle for the past few days, and we thought it would be the perfect place to escape the hot and humid weather in ATL. And for the most part… it was!
This was my first time visiting Seattle, and it’s much bigger than I imagined! We’ve walked, explored, and definitely eaten our way through the city.
Our Seattle must-do list included: Pike Place Market, Museum of Pop Culture, whale watching, Snoqualmie Falls, and the Space Needle
Pike’s Place Chowder is worth the wait! Tons of seafood restaurants as you can imagine, but I didn’t know sour dough bread was a thing in Seattle. If you know me I ate a lot of it too. I probably wouldn’t go back to the Museum of Pop Culture. Mostly because I don’t think it was worth the price of the ticket.
Whale watching was really cool! Did you know you are required to stay within 200 yards of Orcas? If you get the chance to go whale watching in and around Seattle do it!
Snoqualmie Falls was beautiful! The NW has been in a drought so the water levels were down significantly. If you look at my video, you can see. A lady told us she was there in May and you couldn’t see any of the rocks in the river bed.
Not much to report on the Space Needle, because if you know me, you know I’m not a fan of heights! So we look up and again it was much larger than I imagined.
If you’re taking an Alaskan cruise, my biggest tip is this: DON’T just fly into Seattle and head straight to the ship! Plan a few extra days before or after your cruise to explore the city. There is so much to do, eat and see.
