Chantey Pub Sings happen 7-9 p.m. the second Friday of each month at the The Colonial Inn Hillsborough , 153 W. King St. organized by the Ship’s Company Chanteymen.

The Ship's Company Chanteymen sing sea songs by the sea shore. Since 1996, part of Ship's Company 501c3, they perform maritime folk music & host monthly open pub sings. They're known for their historic costumes & presentation.
2-8 singers/musicians.

Established in 1996 as a musical spinoff of the group’s living-history reenactments, the Ship’s Company Chanteymen have a regular series of monthly singing events mostly around Maryland and Virginia. The Hillsborough sing started about two years ago, and it is the group’s farthest South venue – and also the farthest inland.

Celebrate National Trails Day this Saturday, June 6!

Take the Self-Guided Trail Walk and discover the "Faces of the Forest," a public art installation on the Pritchard Park Trail in Chapel Hill. It's a 1-mile trail made up of both paved and natural surface and part of Pritchard Park, a 34-acre park and open space adjacent to the Chapel Hill Public Library.

Installed on twelve trees scattered throughout Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation's Pritchard Park, "Faces of the Forest" is designed to be explored at your own pace. Walking the trails to see all of the faces typically takes around 30–45 minutes.

Check out the comments for a link to download a map and learn more about the Chapel Hill Community Arts & Culture's Faces of the Forest.
