Some of the best medicine isn’t found inside a hospital. These two incredible families from Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston traded appointments and hospital walls for sunshine, fresh air, and a view of Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital from the water. Moments like these remind us that hope sometimes arrives one boat ride at a time. 🙌🚤

Today was one of those days that reminds us exactly why Cornerstone Charter exists. We had the privilege of spending time on the water with this incredible mom and her two beautiful daughters who are currently staying at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston. For a few hours, hospital visits and daily challenges took a back seat to smiles, laughter, and making memories together. Watching these girls light up on the water and seeing their mom relax was a blessing we won’t soon forget. You know it’s been a great day on the water when a nap hits on the way back!

Sunshine, smiles, and a little time to simply breathe.

This week, we had the privilege of taking a mom and her two boys out on the water for a day of fun, adventure, and much-deserved relaxation. While the boys enjoyed fishing and their turn at the helm, Mom got a chance to kick back, soak up the sunshine, and enjoy making memories together.

Beautiful day in the Harbor with the Camp Rise Above crew!

We learned how to drive the boat, found shark teeth, and chased down a horseshoe crab.
