After a difficult two years, it was incredibly rewarding to get Michelle and her mom out on the water for a day filled with smiles, laughter, and a little freedom. Michelle’s undiagnosed leg condition has left her unable to walk, but we weren’t about to let that keep her off the boat - we carried her aboard and made it happen! Days like this are exactly why Cornerstone Charter exists: to make sure everyone gets a chance to experience the joy of being on the water.

Today was one of those days that reminds us exactly why Cornerstone Charter exists. We had the privilege of spending time on the water with this incredible mom and her two beautiful daughters who are currently staying at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston. For a few hours, hospital visits and daily challenges took a back seat to smiles, laughter, and making memories together. Watching these girls light up on the water and seeing their mom relax was a blessing we won’t soon forget. You know it’s been a great day on the water when a nap hits on the way back!

Sunshine, smiles, and a little time to simply breathe.

This week, we had the privilege of taking a mom and her two boys out on the water for a day of fun, adventure, and much-deserved relaxation. While the boys enjoyed fishing and their turn at the helm, Mom got a chance to kick back, soak up the sunshine, and enjoy making memories together.
