Had the pleasure of fishing with friends of a friend yesterday. We got off to slow start but finally got our share of nice bull reds and retreated out the wind to find 2 massive schools of slot reds that bit every cast for almost 3 hours straight! Even caught a set of boga grips🤣

Here we go. A few months back we found out Kim was pregnant w sweet baby number 2 and a couple months later I was diagnosed with brain tumor of my temporal lobe. Brain cancers are generally incurable and aggressive. My family and went through it seriously bad. It was the toughest time of my life by far. I went to church and started praying for peace and for this to work out so I could be at both my daughters move in days to college and dance at their weddings. The lord sent me a vision reassuring me that he had me and everything was going to be ok. I had the tumor removed may 17. Recovery went well but sitting in the house for 4 weeks was worse than prison to me. Today I had my 2 month post op appointment. The drs say there’s no trace of the tumor and it’s unlikely it’ll come back but there is still a chance. If it does it’ll be slow growing and we should be able to handle. I just want to tell everyone how great God is and thank all my friends and family for the prayers and talking to me when I was at my lowest points. I’m so excited I get to be a part of my families next chapter and can’t wait to get this party started. The Nighthawk is back baby!

Friday the bite was super slow all morning and then our luck changed w the tide and we boat 4 bulls and a couple sharks and miss a couple more in the last hour. The last fish of the day was a nice big red w a tag.

Got some stud sea bass and found some nice bliners in 70ft today. Fun day w my buddies Bill Micheal and Union.
