Meet Zack Harold, Executive Director of FestivALL Charleston, and discover the Kanawha Valley through his eyes.
A Kanawha Valley native, Zack spent 15 years in journalism and marketing before joining FestivALL as Executive Director in 2025, a role that feels like a dream come true for someone who has been a fan of the organization since its beginning.
Through FestivALL, Zack is helping bring unique arts experiences to the community while celebrating ALL art forms and making them accessible to ALL.
🌲 Favorite Outdoor Adventure: Hiking in Kanawha State Forest
🥞 Favorite Place to Eat: Harding's in Mink Shoals, especially when it's breakfast time. According to Zack, they have the best pancakes in the valley!
🌭 Favorite Hidden Gem: Chum's in The Town of Marmet, where Zack says you'll find some of his favorite hotdogs in the world. His recommendation? Don't skip the signature yellow slaw.
🍂 Weekend Must-Do: FestivFALL, happening September 30–October 4! Zack's pick is packed with live music, dance performances, the Harvest Art Fair at Capitol Market, and the Carriage Trail Leaf Walk, with a new arts experience around every turn.
