Eric got a break from the heat today because instead of doing a tour, he did a presentation on Charleston in the Revolution in air-conditioned bliss Cresswind in Summerville. This was his third program there!

94 summer camp kids on the Children's Treasure Hunt Tour this morning. Very well behaved group, and we all had a blast!

Thinking about my uncle, Hollis Preston, today, whom I never met because he was a WWII bomber pilot, who kept his plane in the air long enough for all of his crew to safely bail out. By the time he made sure the crew was out, the plane was too low for him to make a successful jump. With one engine, he managed to keep the plane in the air long enough to get out of Germany. The plane went down in Belgium 9/12/1944.
