🎃Planning a Universal Trip in the Fall?🎃
If you have little ones, getting that Park to Park Ticket is even more important! Halloween Horror Night goes on for most nights in August, September and October at Universal Studios. If you do not have admission to Halloween Horror Night, you must leave by 5PM.

When my family is going to Universal this fall our plan our plan is to start at Islands of Adventure for Early Park Admission. Ride Hagrids, Flight of Hippogriff, before heading to Three Broomsticks for Breakfast.

A priority for us is the Raptor Encounter (my son missed that we didn't get a chance to do that last vacation). We will hop on Hogwarts Express to Universal Studios until near 5PM (when the park closes to set up for Halloween Horror Nights). We will get dinner at City Walk and then finish the rest of the night at Islands of Adventure. When planning a Universal vacation with me, I help my clients structure their day so it makes sense for the time of year they are going.

My new Toothless bag has officially arrived, and I am OBSESSED. 😂How stinkin' cute is this bag?!

We’re getting so close to our Universal Orlando trip next month, which means I’m officially in the “finishing up all the little details” stage of planning!

Right now I’m working on some shirts I want to have made for the kids, finalizing a few things for our park days, and grabbing some fun little items from places like Five Below and the Target Dollar Spot that tie into our Universal trip.

Some of these are just for fun, but I’m also looking for things that can help keep the kids entertained, build excitement for the trip, and give us something to pull out during those waiting moments.

And yes… apparently preparing for Universal also means I needed a Toothless bag. Obviously. 😂🐉

The countdown is ON! 🌎⚡️🍄🐉

I’ll be sharing more of what I’m packing, how I’m preparing the kids, and all the little things I’m doing before we leave-especially how we’re preparing for Universal with an autistic teenager. 💙

✨ When I talk with a family about their Disney or cruise vacation, expect me to ask different questions when your family has unique needs. 💙

I want to know things like:

🏨 What accommodations would make your stay easier?
⏰ Does your family thrive with a full schedule, or do you need time to reset?
🚌 What transportation options feel comfortable?
✨ What would YOUR family's perfect vacation day look like?
💭 And maybe most importantly… what tends to be the hardest part of traveling?

Because two families with the same diagnosis can have completely different needs. 💗 I don't need to know everything about your diagnosis. I need to understand how YOUR family travels.

One autistic traveler may love crowds, characters and fireworks while another may find those things overwhelming. One wheelchair user may be able to transfer easily while another needs to remain in their chair. There is no one-size-fits-all disability travel plan.

That’s why my consultations aren't about checking boxes.

Every visit gives me the opportunity to experience new resorts, restaurants, accessibility features, park planning firsthand. One of the reasons I invest in these research trips is because I believe firsthand experience matters. The travel industry has grown tremendously over the past few years. While trainings and certifications are incredibly valuable, there's something different about walking the resorts yourself, navigating transportation and lightning lane systems.

As a travel advisor who specializes in accessible travel, I never want to recommend something simply because I read about it online. I want to know:
✨Where are the best places to take a sensory break
✨What resort feels quiet after a busy park day
✨What rooms work best for different family needs
✨How best to utilize DAS in the parks
When you book with me, you're getting recommendations shaped by firsthand experience, continuous learning, and a genuine passion for helping every family create memories.

✨A client stated to me they are interested in going to Disney World with a group of about 50 family members! Amazing! Let me hop on and quote their family vacation. Only thing they are concerned about, is a stay on Disney Vacation property. Everyone in their party has varying budgets. They wanted to see a comparison between staying on property vs off property.

✨When working with a client, I'm not trying to necessarily push them in either direction. In all honesty, I've stayed on property AND off-property depending on what kind of trip I'm interested in. I ultimately want a trip that works FOR my client.

✨What I found is that you CAN save a few hundred bucks BUT you simply are missing out on so much convenience (and TIME is money). When I did a side by side, they would have saved $300-$500 on the vacation homes- but then add another $200 for parking and at that point I'm running to a Disney World property and not looking back! 😁 axistravelgroup.com/Megan-Mitterko
