I had a blast this past weekend with my trip to Charlotte NC!

We arrived at the hotel "Spark" which is a chain under the Hiton brand around 10:30 Thursday night and had a swift check in. When you walk through the first set of doors there is a key card reader and at night the doors to the lobby lock so only current residents with room keys can get in. I thought this was a great idea and it made me feel really comfortable while staying here Hilton

Early Friday morning we began our day with breakfast Flying Biscuit Cafe They had a variety of French toast that you could choose from! I opted for the plain old French toast and a side of eggs with grilled onions. Unfortunately I didnt enjoy my French toast as much as i hoped but our server was very kind and responded quickly with a replacement order (which was more eggs with onions, im a really simple eater 😋) Eggs were great!!

Next we went to Carowinds and had a blast even though it was 1000 degrees outside. I ended up losing my glasses in the lazy (not so lazy) river 😅. The staff was really helpful in explaining the process for me to create a "lost" report. FYI if you do lose something at Carowinds try to get there as early as possible because you have to go all the way into the park to customer services ...there was a long line and boy was it hot!!

Before the movies (which was great btw) we stopped at Mar y Tierra on south tryon st. They classify themselves as Honduran/Mexican restaurant...i normally wouldnt go for Mexican style food but my husband has a streak of picking really good restaurants so i tried it and it was GREAT!! Again i was simple and got some crab legs and tacos. The crab legs came on a bed of grilled onions and peppers and cilantro as garnish..i have never seen that before but it was surprisingly good :)

All in all i had a wonderful time visiting Charlotte NC. Next time i will definitely stay a little longer to see what else this city has to offer
