From Roman arenas… to the lost legacy of the Great Library.

Our final chapter led us north—to the timeless coastal city of Alexandria, where Egypt meets the Mediterranean and history takes on a different rhythm.

We began at the Roman Amphitheater of Kom El Dikka, a remarkably preserved glimpse into ancient city life.

Once filled with performances, gatherings, and echoes of Roman entertainment, its stone seating and mosaic floors still whisper stories of a city alive with culture and spectacle.

From there, we descended into something far more mysterious…

The Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, a surreal underground world dating back to the 2nd century AD.

Here, Pharaonic, Greek, and Roman influences merge into one extraordinary burial complex—carved stairways, intricate tombs, and layered history buried deep beneath the city.

And then, we surfaced into the modern era.

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina stands as a powerful tribute to the legendary Library of Alexandria—once the greatest center of knowledge in the ancient world.

Today, its striking architecture and vast halls of learning continue that legacy, bridging past and present in one breathtaking space.

To end the journey, we gathered by the water for a beautiful lunch overlooking the Mediterranean—sunlight, sea breeze, and the perfect moment to pause and reflect on everything we’ve experienced together.

And just like that… the journey closes.

Not just a trip through Egypt but a walk through time itself.

💛 Thank you, Egypt—you have been extraordinary.
From temples to tombs, rivers to seas, silence to celebration… every day has been unforgettable.

And to everyone who traveled with us, followed along, and shared this journey with us, thank you.
We’ll be back.

From sacred churches… to the birthplace of the pyramids 🏛️🐪🇪🇬

Today we stepped into the layers of Cairo where every street, stone, and skyline tells a different chapter of Egypt’s story.

We began in Old Cairo, a place where faith and history live side by side.

In Coptic Cairo, we visited the iconic Hanging Church, suspended above the gate of an ancient Roman fortress, one of the oldest Christian churches in the world.

Just a short walk away, Abu Serga Church reminded us of something deeply powerful: this is where the Holy Family once rested during their journey into Egypt.

Later, we traveled south to Saqqara, Egypt’s oldest royal burial ground—and the birthplace of pyramid building itself.

Standing before the Step Pyramid of Djoser, designed by Imhotep over 4,000 years ago, you can feel the shift in human history. This wasn’t just a tomb… it was the beginning of architecture as we know it.

From there, we stepped into Egypt’s living craftsmanship.

At a traditional carpet-weaving workshop, we watched artisans bring stories to life - thread by thread, pattern by pattern. Every piece carries heritage, patience, and generations of skill passed down by hand.

And then came one of the most unforgettable moments of the journey…

🐪 Riding camels across the pyramids plateau - wind, sand, and silence all around.

A moment that feels almost unreal when you’re in it… and unforgettable once you’ve left it.

This is Egypt in its full spectrum—faith, history, craft, and wonder—all in a single day.

And the journey isn’t over yet…

Tomorrow we head to Alexandria for our final chapter.

If you’ve ever thought about seeing Egypt like this, not rushed, not superficial, but truly lived—this is the kind of journey we create.

From the quiet waters of Aswan… to the rhythm of Cairo in motion ✈️🇪🇬

Today was all about movement—geography, history, and perspective.

We began the morning by saying farewell to our Dahabiya, the vessel that carried us so gently along the Nile and became part of our rhythm over the past days.

There’s something about leaving the river… it feels like leaving behind a slower version of yourself.

But the journey wasn’t over yet.

Before heading north, Aswan gave us two final stories.

At the High Dam, we stood at the edge of one of Egypt’s greatest modern engineering achievements - where the Nile was harnessed, controlled, and transformed forever.

Then at the Unfinished Obelisk, we stepped back thousands of years into ancient ambition. Still carved into the bedrock, it offers a rare glimpse into how monuments were born - and sometimes never completed.

And then, we took to the skies.

A short flight carried us from Aswan to Cairo in just over an hour. Outside the window: desert, river, and time itself unfolding beneath us.

We landed back in Cairo and checked into the elegant Fairmont Nile City—a perfect return to comfort and city energy.

Instead of heading out again, we made a simple shift: dinner at the hotel. A slower evening, a chance to reset, and prepare for what’s still ahead.

Because the journey isn’t over yet…

We’re just entering a new chapter.

And Cairo still has more to show us.

If you’ve been following along and imagining yourself here—this is your sign.

The Nile, the temples, the cities, the stories… they’re all waiting. And this is only Day 7.

From ancient temples… to one unforgettable night on the Nile

Today was all about contrast… and it couldn’t have been more beautiful.

We began at the breathtaking Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis and set on its own island—one of the most magical settings we’ve experienced so far.

Then came one of my favorite moments of the trip…

We sailed along the Nile River, slowly making our way to a Nubian village.

Arriving at the village felt like stepping into a completely different world—colorful homes, warm smiles, and a culture that has been preserved for generations. It’s these moments that remind you Egypt is not just about ancient history… it’s alive, vibrant, and deeply rooted in tradition.

And then… the night took over.

Dinner on board, traditional music, and our galabeya party… let’s just say, what happens on the dahabiya stays on the dahabiya 😄✨

This is the kind of day that stays with you—not just for what you see, but for how it feels.

From ancient temples… to dancing barefoot by the Nile

Today started with history and ended with one of those nights you never forget.

We visited the stunning Temple of Kom Ombo, one of the most unique temples in Egypt. Perfectly symmetrical, built to honor two gods at once… it’s unlike anything else we’ve seen on this journey.

But then, we slowed things down again. We had the pleasure of a quick cooking class of one of our favorite dishes, potato tagine. So delicious. Thank you chef 😋

We stopped at a quiet island along the Nile… soft sand, calm water, nothing but nature around us. Some of us swam, some just sat and took it all in… one of those simple, perfect moments.

And then the evening came to life.

A BBQ dinner right by the water, local music playing, and before we knew it… everyone was up dancing. No schedule, no rush, just pure joy and connection.

These are the moments that turn a trip into something unforgettable ✨

This is the Egypt most people don’t get to see…

Today wasn’t about monuments… it was about connection.

We spent the morning sailing along the Nile River, watching life unfold exactly as it has for generations. Farmers in the fields, children waving from the riverbanks, small villages slowly waking up… it’s peaceful in a way that’s hard to explain.

Then we stepped back into history at the Temple of Edfu, one of the best-preserved temples in the country. Walking through it, you can truly imagine what ancient Egypt looked and felt like.

But what made today unforgettable for me… was something much more personal.
We visited a small village, and I returned to a family I had met back in 2022. Seeing the kids again, how much they’ve grown, the smiles, the warmth… those are the moments that stay with you.

This is the side of travel I value the most ❤️

Not just seeing a place… but connecting with it✨

We ended the day anchored along the Nile, surrounded by complete stillness, under a sky full of stars.

And honestly… it doesn’t get better than that ✨

Our last early wake-up… and the most unforgettable one ❤️

4:30 a.m… and this time, we rose above it all.

Floating over Luxor at sunrise is one of those moments that stays with you forever. The Nile, the desert, the temples… all slowly coming to life beneath you as the light changes minute by minute.

It’s peaceful, surreal, and honestly… hard to put into words.

And then, we landed and went straight into the heart of ancient Egypt.

The Valley of the Kings never gets old—but stepping inside the tombs, especially Tomb of Seti I, is something else entirely. The colors, the detail, the stories… it feels like time has stood still.

We continued to the breathtaking Temple of Hatshepsut, built into the cliffs, and stood in front of the Colossi of Memnon, still guarding the land after thousands of years.
A full, rich, unforgettable morning…

And then, a complete shift.

We slowed down, stepped aboard our dahabiya, and let the Nile set the pace. Calm, quiet, and exactly what the moment called for.

This is the balance that makes a journey truly special ✨

Another 3:00 a.m… and somehow it keeps getting better 👀

We left Cairo before sunrise and woke up in Luxor, stepping straight into one of the most extraordinary open-air museums in the world.

First stop: Luxor Temple, where pharaohs once celebrated renewal and divine power. Walking through it feels like stepping into a different time.

Then the Karnak Temple
A place so vast and powerful, it’s hard to put into words. Towering columns, endless hieroglyphs, and layers of history built over nearly 2,000 years… you don’t just see it, you feel it.

And then… the heat reminded us we’re very much in Egypt 😅 So we slowed things down with some well-deserved pool time. But the day didn’t end there.

We later visited the Mummification Museum, and this was one of those unexpectedly fascinating moments. Seeing how the ancient Egyptians prepared for the afterlife—the tools, the process, the meaning behind it all—adds a whole new layer to everything you experience throughout the journey.

That’s what makes days like this so special…

It’s not just what you see, it’s what you begin to understand.✨

3:00 a.m. wake up… and not a single complaint✨

Because this morning? It was worth everything.

📍We experienced the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx in complete silence, before the world arrived… just us, history, and one of the most powerful places on Earth.

Standing inside the Great Pyramid, walking near the Sphinx, feeling the scale, the energy… it’s one of those moments that’s impossible to fully describe. You just feel it.

👀And the best part? No crowds, no noise… just pure magic.

☕️Later, we slowed down with breakfast overlooking the pyramids (yes, that view is real), explored how ancient papyrus is still made today, and ended the day inside the Grand Egyptian Museum—surrounded by thousands of years of history.

But what stayed with everyone wasn’t the early wake-up… it was that feeling of being there, almost alone, in a place that has stood for over 4,500 years.

🌟This is exactly why we do what we do.

More moments like this coming soon… and if Egypt has been on your list, you already know ✨

🐫Special thank you to our incredible partners on the ground for making this seamless and unforgettable.
