One night in Malinska, Krk, and somehow we packed in a little bit of everything.

Swimming in the Adriatic, incredible seafood, sunset views, wandering the waterfront and strolling through the charming streets. Sometimes one night is all you need to get a taste of a place you’ll want to come back to.

Malinska, you were worth the stop.

If you’re staying in Rijeka, add Kastav to your list.

This historic hilltop town is easily accessible by bus and makes a great escape from the summer heat.

Kastav is known for its historic old town, historical walking route, beautiful overlook of Rijeka and Kvarner Bay, and its many resident cats.

I visited Kastav in 2025 and it’s one of those places I’d recommend adding to your itinerary if you have an extra day in the Rijeka area.

I've been a little quiet around here this summer. I've been taking some time to refocus on myself, but I've also been behind the scenes putting a lot of energy into some pretty incredible and unique trips for my clients.

Sometimes the planning, researching, and creating happens where you don't see it—and lately, that's where I've been.
