✨️ 3 Things I HATE On Disney Cruise Line ✨️

⚓️ 1. In Person Muster Station Drill
Imagine standing in the heat trying to convince your AuDHD stage 5 clinger that she needs to stand away from you for 20 minutes because you are supposed to be in line from shortest to tallest and it ends with the loudest sound ever. Not the best start to a magical vacation. Disney, do better.

⚓️ 2. Fish Extenders
I don’t need more things to pack to bring on vacation. I don't need more plastic crap to take home. I don't need more opportunities for my AuDHD kids to hyperfocus on something. Just make it stop. Please!

⚓️ 3. Queues for character meet and greets
Queues everywhere, for everything. The Cast Members try to keep the traffic flow areas clear but it doesn't always work. And my AuDHD kids don't always understand why they have to wait to see their favorite character when they are literally right there!

✨️ 3 Rules I Don't Follow At Disney✨️

Listen, my kids come by their PDA honestly because if you tell me to do something, that's exactly what I'm *not* gonna do. 🤷‍♀️ This goes for Disney too, especially when I have my AuDHD kids there with me.

✨️ 1. Relying only on Disney transportation when staying on property. For an ND child, the commute can make or break the entire park day. A crowded bus headed to Magic Kingdom in the morning can be a sensory nightmare. When possible, we drive to the parks.

✨️ 2. Park Hopping to see as much as possible. Switching locations, aka transitions, are a quick way to bring on meltdowns with my kids. Focusing on one park per day allows everyone's nervous system to have a calm baseline.

✨️ 3. Only staying in the Disney bubble. Staying in the Disney bubble is always but sometimes it's better for my family to stay at a boring off-site 2 or 3 BR apartment so we aren't too overstimulated to enjoy our time in the parks.

For parents that don't want to constantly be in their phones, or if you are visiting Disney as the only grown-up, the cost of Memory Maker is always worth it to capture the memories.

✨️ 2. Mickey Balloon
Not only does it provide lots of joy for your kids, but it doubles as a stroller marker so you won't waste precious minutes searching for your stroller in the stroller corral.

✨️ 3. Fuelrod Portable Charger
Managing Lightening Lanes, mobile ordering, and rechecking the map is a fast battery drainer. These portable charger stations are located throughout all the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs and swapping for a fully charged one is completely free!
