🍷 The 2026 Virginia Governor’s Cup Gala is this Thursday!

Back in January, judges tasted over 670 Virginia wines, ciders, and meads, awarding 224 Gold Medals to 113 wineries and cideries — including 36 from the Monticello AVA. The Gold Medal winners were just announced, and the gala in Richmond will showcase them — from these, 12 will be selected for the prestigious Governor’s Cup Case, including the wine ultimately named the 2026 Virginia Governor’s Cup winner. 🥂

From standout Cabernet Franc and Petit Manseng to sparkling wines, Meritage blends, and exceptional ciders, the Monticello region continues to demonstrate why it’s one of Virginia’s most celebrated wine destinations.

A huge congratulations to all wineries — your dedication to Virginia-grown grapes and thoughtful winemaking continues to raise the bar!
