Another deck collapse this holiday weekend in McCalla, AL. A deck collapse occurred here that bore striking similarities to the recent incident in the Smoky Mountains. Despite apparent repairs, the underlying issue of an aging structure remained. Merely replacing decking or railings cannot compensate for a deck that has exceeded its lifespan. Sadly, six individuals were hospitalized as a result of this preventable tragedy.
