🏰✨ DISNEY JUST DROPPED A LOT OF NEWS… AND THE FUTURE OF THE PARKS IS LOOKING INCREDIBLE! ✨🏰
Last night’s Disney Experiences Showcase gave us SO many new details about what’s coming to Walt Disney World AND Disneyland Resort... and there is a LOT to be excited about!
Here’s your big Disney Parks update for the US! 👇🏻
🚗🏔️ NEW PISTON PEAK DETAILS FOR MAGIC KINGDOM!
We already knew a Cars-inspired expansion was coming to Frontierland, but last night Disney gave us a MUCH better look at what guests can actually expect!
Piston Peak National Park will transport guests into a rugged wilderness inspired by America’s national parks, complete with mountain trails, snowy peaks, geysers and plenty of Cars personality.
Cars Ridge Run Rally will be the headliner attraction, sending guests racing up mountain trails, through snowy peaks and past erupting geysers before bouncing their way back down the mountain toward the finish line.
And you won’t be racing alone! Lightning McQueen and Mater will be there providing play-by-play from the sidelines.
Miss Fritter’s Daredevil Spin-Along will bring the legendary demolition derby champion from Cars 3 into Piston Peak for a wild spinning competition.
So Piston Peak isn’t just ONE new attraction... Disney confirmed TWO Cars experiences are coming to the area!
🦹♀️🪞 VILLAINS LAND IS GETTING WICKED!
Magic Kingdom is getting an enormous new land dedicated to Disney’s most infamous villains. Guests will enter a dark and twisted world featuring a cursed forest, a broken wishing well and powerful Disney Villains who have claimed the land for themselves.
There will be TWO major attractions, including a thrilling coaster racing through Maleficent’s enchanted briars and another experience taking guests into the mysterious realm of the Magic Mirror.
There will also be dining, shopping and immersive environments throughout the land... and Disney says the scale will be comparable to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. 😱
🌎 TROPICAL AMERICAS IS BRINGING NEW ADVENTURES TO ANIMAL KINGDOM!
The transformation of the former DinoLand area is getting even more exciting!
✨ Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto will bring guests directly into the world of Encanto.
Guests will visit Casita on Antonio’s special gift day, exploring rooms created exclusively for the attraction and experiencing Antonio’s magical connection with his animal friends. Expect music, colorful environments, beloved characters and plenty of the Madrigal family magic we love from Encanto. 🦋🐆🦜
🐍 Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent will take guests on a completely different adventure. You’ll join Indiana Jones as he explores an ancient Maya temple, encountering legendary creatures, supernatural dangers and a massive serpent inspired by Maya mythology.
🦥🦊🐾 AND THERE’S A NEW CAROUSEL! (one of my favorite announcements- did you see the characters?!)
Tropical Americas will also feature a family-friendly carousel unlike any other Disney carousel and instead of traditional carousel horses, guests will ride beautifully crafted animals inspired by Disney characters and their animal friends.
Plus, we can’t forget…
🦍 THE YETI IS COMING BACK TO LIFE!
Disney confirmed that the legendary Yeti Audio-Animatronic inside Expedition Everest will once again roar to life! After years of the Yeti operating in a modified mode, seeing this iconic figure return to its original glory is going to be HUGE for Animal Kingdom fans.
👾💚 MONSTROPOLIS UPDATES FOR HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS!
We knew the world of Monsters, Inc. was getting its own land, and now we have even more details about what will be waiting for us when it opens in 2027.
Guests will be able to explore the streets of Monstropolis, visit iconic locations like Harryhausen’s (SO EXCITED FOR THIS), grab a slice at Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza, and see Mike and Sulley in a new theater show.
And yes… the highly anticipated door coaster is still coming as part of a later phase! 🚪💚
💜🌈 DREAMFINDER & FIGMENT ARE RETURNING TO EPCOT!
One of the biggest cheers of the night came when Disney announced that Dreamfinder is returning alongside Figment in a reimagined Journey Into Imagination. For those of us who remember the original Dreamfinder and Figment, this is a BIG deal. ✨ One little spark is about to become a whole lot bigger!
🎠 CAROUSEL OF PROGRESS IS GETTING A NEW CHAPTER!
Another classic is getting some love... Carousel of Progress will receive updated storytelling and a new 1980s scene — and Disney announced that Jamie Lee Curtis and Bryan Cranston will join the attraction as the mom and dad!
The updated attraction is expected to open in late spring 2027, while continuing to honor the history of one of Walt Disney’s original beloved attractions.
✨ AND DISNEYLAND RESORT HAS BIG NEWS TOO!
If you thought all the excitement was happening in Florida… nope! California fans have plenty to look forward to.
🚀 TOMORROWLAND IS BEING REIMAGINED!
Disney announced plans to transform Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park while honoring the legacy of the original land. The reimagining will include new attractions, more open spaces and new places to dream about the future, bringing a renewed focus to the optimism and innovation that inspired Tomorrowland from the very beginning.
Disney says there is much more to come as the plans develop, so this is definitely one we’ll be watching!
💀🎸 COCO IS GETTING ITS FIRST DISNEY PARK ATTRACTION!
And we got some exciting new details... The first-ever Coco attraction at a Disney park will be a family-friendly boat ride at Disney California Adventure. The story picks up one year after the events of the original film, and guests will begin in a “casa museo” dedicated to the music of Miguel’s great-great-grandfather, Héctor Rivera.
From there, guests will travel with Miguel through his memories of the Land of the Dead, encountering characters, music and the beautiful world of Coco along the way.
And with Coco 2 also in development, Disney is working closely with Pixar to make sure this attraction fits beautifully within the world of the films. 🌼💀
🦸♀️⚡️ AVENGERS CAMPUS IS DOUBLING IN SIZE!
Marvel fans, this one is HUGE. Disney California Adventure’s Avengers Campus will double in size, with TWO new attractions opening in 2028.
⚡️ Avengers Infinity Defense will take guests across multiple worlds alongside the Avengers, including locations like Wakanda, Asgard and New York City, as you battle King Thanos.
🤖 Stark Flight Lab will put guests inside a two-person gyro-kinetic pod for an intense training experience inspired by Stark Industries.
And Disney confirmed that some familiar Marvel stars will reprise their roles for these experiences! 👀
🎆 DISNEYLAND ENTERTAINMENT IS COMING BACK!
2027 is shaping up to be a BIG year for Disneyland entertainment.
✨ Remember… Dreams Come True returns to Disneyland in February 2027 with updated entertainment and projections.
🌈 An updated version of the original World of Color returns to Disney California Adventure in February 2027.
💫 And in summer 2027, Magic Happens returns to Main Street U.S.A.!
