We had a great time celebrating my mothers birthday walking through the vineyards while sipping on some vino... All I can say is that We live in a beautiful area.

Well unfortunatly the trip had to come to an end but we had an amazing time through out South America and Colombia was the perfect place to end it all.

We saw some amazing cities and geography that Colombia had to offer. Their scenery was absolutely breath taking with their mountaineous cloud forests, fresh water lakes & rivers, sandy beaches and of course the Andes!

We got to experience the northern most point in South America, bumb it on the beaches at one of the best National Parks in South America (tyrona), swim in the crystal clear waters of the carribean, visit the coffee plantations and enjoy the true colombian culture!

As we sit in our home reflecting back on this trip we cant help our selves but to save up our pennies and count down the days until we can take off and let our adventurous hearts experience more of this wonderful earth we live on.

Thank You everybody for following our Trip and we hope we inspired many of you to live your life to the fullest!

If you are wondering why we havent posted anything lately let me fill you in...

- Our phone crashed
- Our computers battery failed
- We have been living out of a small day bag for 3 weeks
- Wifi is minimal to none at times
- Hostal computers are our only source of communication (when they are available)

But, most important
- We are experiencing the true art of traveling!

So far, we have heard the BEST things about Colombia so naturally we were extremely excited to get here! We have only been here for 1 short week and it has definitely lived up to its reputation. Colombia is a beautiful country filled with wonderful people, an amazing culture, and an indescribable vibe.

Attending the futbol game was an epic highlight when we were in Medellin. The crowds were unreal with numerous chants and enthusiasm for their team. Luckly Medellin ended up winning in the last few minutes.

- Being in the fan section during the goal was extreme! People are bouncing in every direction and chanting at the top of their lungs... not the best place for a small person haha

The Wax Palm Foest was our next stop in Solento a small coffee region 6 hours outside of Medellin. A bit colder, but the palms seemed like they could go on forever within in the cloud forest. I felt like i was in the Lorax for crying out loud!

On our last full day we substituted our cherry baskets to pick some fresh coffee beans. We visited a family ran organic coffee plantation where we saw the complete production from start to finish. It was a fun process as we picked the coffee beans from the trees, tried the fruit that it produced, saw how it's separated from the fruit, dried, roasted, and finally packaged. We enjoyed a nice fruity cup at the end of the tour.

We had an epic time riding dune buggies around the oasis of Haucachina. We also went sand boarding for the sencond time, but it was much better laying on the board this time around. The hills were huge and we were flying down. Literally sand everywhere!

Saw some sealife at the poor mans galapagos, aka Paracas. There were millions of birds, some cute penguins, and the sea lions sun bathing, we were even lucky enough to catch some dolphins on our way back into the bay!

Enoyed a quick trip to Lima where we had wonderful ceviche and where we checked out the catacombs in the Monastery San Fransisco. One of the most amazing churches I have ever seen! 25,000 people are burried underneath this church.

The last of Peru:
We decided to visit a town called Huaraz before we took off to Colombia. This town is knwn for its trekking, which also meant back to elevation!! We made it to one of the more popular day hikes, Laguna 69. The weather was great and the views were spectacular so we enjoyed the tough hike and made it to the lovely laguna at 4,650 meters.. roughly 15,000 feet! We were toast by the end, but the views were absolutely worth it!
