🕋💧 Heading Home With Zamzam? Don’t Reach the Airport Without Knowing This.

Bringing Zamzam home is one of the most meaningful parts of an Umrah journey. For many pilgrims, that bottle is more than something packed for the flight home. It is a precious gift to share with family and loved ones. 🤍

But Zamzam collection and airline baggage rules can vary, especially depending on your departure airport, airline, age of the traveler, and baggage policy.

Before you travel, make sure you know who can collect Zamzam, where to collect it, the current price, and how it should be transported. Most importantly, always confirm the latest requirements directly with your airline before purchasing or checking in.

⚠️ Do not place unofficially packed Zamzam water inside your checked luggage. Use the designated Zamzam collection and packaging process and follow your airline’s instructions.

A little preparation at the end of your journey can save you unnecessary stress at the airport. ✈️💧

📌 Save this guide before your Umrah.
📤 Share it with someone traveling to Makkah or Madinah.

🤲 May Allah accept our Umrah, bless us with the goodness of Zamzam, and allow us to return to His Sacred House again and again. Ameen.

🕋 Did You Know the Carpets of Masjid al-Haram Were Once Red?

For many years, worshippers in Masjid al-Haram in Makkah prayed on the familiar red carpets that can still be seen in older photographs and recordings of the Sacred Mosque.

The history of carpets specially produced for Masjid al-Haram goes back to 1402 AH (1981–1982). They were initially imported from Belgium, followed in later years by carpets from Germany and Lebanon.

A major change came in 1420 AH (1999–2000), when carpets for Masjid al-Haram began to be manufactured in Saudi Arabia. These locally produced carpets remained red until 1434 AH (2013).

Then, shortly before Ramadan in 2013, the familiar red carpets were replaced with Saudi-made green carpets, marking a new visual chapter inside the Grand Mosque. Contemporary reporting from Makkah documented the completion of this change before Ramadan that year.

Today, the green carpets have become part of the familiar appearance of Masjid al-Haram. According to the General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques, more than 35,000 green carpets are used across the mosque’s corridors and courtyards, with additional carpets provided during Fridays and peak seasons. They are regularly cleaned, sanitized, inspected, and replaced when necessary.

❤️ Then: Red
💚 Now: Green

The colors may have changed through the years, but the purpose remains the same: preparing a clean and comfortable place for millions of worshippers who come to the House of Allah. 🕋🤍

If you remember seeing the red carpets of Masjid al-Haram, which do you remember more clearly: the red or the green?

🕋 Maqam Ibrahim: A Place Connected to Prophet Ibrahim

Just a short distance from the Kaaba stands Maqam Ibrahim, one of the sacred landmarks of Masjid al-Haram and a powerful reminder of the legacy of Prophet Ibrahim .

The Qur’an mentions Maqam Ibrahim directly:

“And take the standing place of Abraham as a site of prayer.”
Surah Al-Baqarah 2:125

Maqam Ibrahim is the stone associated with Prophet Ibrahim as he raised the foundations of the Kaaba with his son, Prophet Ismail. The stone is preserved today within a protective enclosure near the Kaaba.

After completing Tawaf, it is Sunnah to pray two rak‘ahs, when possible, with Maqam Ibrahim between you and the Kaaba. If the area is crowded, there is no need to push or inconvenience others; the prayer can be performed elsewhere in Masjid al-Haram.

Standing near Maqam Ibrahim is a reminder that the story of the Kaaba is deeply connected to faith, obedience, sacrifice, and the du‘as of Prophet Ibrahim.

Millions pass through this place every year, yet its message remains timeless: generations change, but the call to worship Allah alone continues. 🤍

🤲 May Allah grant us the opportunity to visit His Sacred House, follow the example of Prophet Ibrahim, and accept our Tawaf, prayers, and Umrah. Ameen.

You May Have Walked Past These Pillars Without Knowing Their Stories…

Inside Masjid an-Nabawi ﷺ are places connected to moments from the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his Companions رضي الله عنهم.

To many visitors, they may appear to be simply part of the beautiful architecture of the mosque. But learning the history associated with these locations can completely change the way you experience the blessed Rawdah.

They remind us of prayer, repentance, gatherings of the Companions, and moments from the early Muslim community in Madinah. Places we read about in Islamic history are connected to the very ground Muslims continue to visit today. 🤍

So when Allah grants you the opportunity to enter Masjid an-Nabawi, don’t only admire its beauty. Take time to learn about its history and reflect on the generations of believers who stood there before us.

📌 Save this guide before visiting Madinah and share it with someone who dreams of praying in Masjid an-Nabawi.

🤲 May Allah invite us to Madinah, grant us the blessing of praying in Masjid an-Nabawi, increase our love for the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and accept our worship. Ameen.

When the Roof of Masjid an-Nabawi Opens to the Sky… 🤍

There is something deeply moving about watching the domes of Masjid an-Nabawi ﷺ slowly open.

As they move apart, natural light enters the mosque and the sky above Madinah becomes visible, creating a moment where remarkable architecture and the serenity of this blessed place come together.

These 27 retractable domes were incorporated into the King Fahd expansion, designed to support natural lighting and ventilation within the mosque.

But when you witness them opening in person, it feels like more than an architectural feature.

You are standing in Madinah, inside the mosque of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, watching the sky appear above a place that Muslims across the world carry in their hearts. 🤍

Some moments in Madinah are difficult to explain.
You simply have to stand there and feel them.

🤲 May Allah invite us to Madinah again and again, grant us the blessing of praying in Masjid an-Nabawi, and fill our hearts with love for the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Ameen.
