💙 Jamaica Travel Update 🇯🇲

Resorts in Jamaica are temporarily closed through Jan 31, 2026 as they recover from Hurricane Melissa. 🌴

All guests & staff are safe 🙏🏽 and refunds or rebooking options are available!

Destination Update:

Please share the information below with your family and friends in Jamaica:

*Starlink* is providing free internet service to Jamaicans impacted by Hurricane Melissa through the end of November to help with recovery efforts. This temporary free service is intended to support response and recovery operations in the affected areas.

*What is free:* The complimentary service is provided through the end of November.

*Who is eligible:* Individuals and communities in Jamaica impacted by Hurricane Melissa.

Purpose: To assist with communication and recovery efforts following the hurricane.

*How to Activate “FLOW STARLINK”*

*For Android Devices*
1. Open your Settings app and tap on Network & Internet or Connections.
2. Tap on Mobile Network. If you have a dual-SIM phone, select your SIM card first.
Toggle the VoLTE calls or Enhanced 4G LTE Mode switch to the “on” position.
Your “FLOW STARLINK” network will be active.

*For iPhone Devices*
1. Open the Settings app and tap on Cellular.
2. Tap on Cellular Data Options.
3. Select Voice & Data and choose LTE, VoLTE On.
Your “FLOW STARLINK” network will be active.
For iPhones with iOS 17 and later, VoLTE is enabled by default, and this setting is no longer visible,

Jamaica Update:
As previously noted, both OCJ and KIN airports are open.

MBJ will reopen for commercial flight at 7:00am on Saturday November 1st.

AA operated 2 flights today between KIN and MIA. To our knowledge, no ALGV customers were on those flights. Additional flights operating tomorrow.

We are showing ALGV passengers confirmed out of Kingston for tomorrow.

Confirmed road between Montego Bay and Kingston is accessible. Drive time between Montego Bay and Kingston can be 3+ hours.
Ocho Rios airport reportedly open, however no flights today. This airport is limited in the size of aircraft it can accommodate.

Awaiting update from Amstar on transportation logistics.

Communications with Jamaica and the Amstar office remains limited.

Amstar Reps are at some hotels assisting guest today.

Amstar has reported significant traffic delays in Montego Bay due to road conditions.


Bermuda:

Bermuda airport is expected to close at 6pm this evening. Reopen details will be announced following assessment tomorrow.

Causeway leading to/from the airport will close at 10pm tonight. Reopening time will be announced following assessment tomorrow.
