Celebrate freedom, culture, and community at Chester’s Juneteenth Celebration on Friday, June 5, from 5–9 PM at the Cadz Street Backlot in downtown Chester.

This free, family-friendly event features live music and entertainment, more than 40 vendors, food and drinks, a Kids Zone with face painting, bounce houses, a foam party, and free cotton candy while supplies last.

Bring a lawn chair and enjoy an evening of music, fun, and community as Chester comes together to celebrate Juneteenth.

CAROLINA DAYS in Chester County, SC: Join us for an afternoon of remembrance and Revolutionary history as we honor those from our community who helped shape America’s story. 🇺🇸

Date: Sunday, June 28, 2026
Time: 2:00–5:00 PM
Location: Union ARP Church

Explore blacksmith demonstrations and period displays on the church grounds, offering a glimpse into daily life during the Revolutionary era. Inside the church, hear historians share the story of the Battle of Sullivan’s Island and learn about the local men and women whose actions connected Chester County to this pivotal moment in history.

The afternoon will conclude with two special monument dedications honoring Revolutionary War soldiers buried in our area:
✨3:00–4:00 PM — Union Cemetery monument dedication, including a wreath laying ceremony and honor guard
✨4:00–5:00 PM — Burnt Meeting House Cemetery monument dedication, including a wreath laying ceremony and honor guard

Experience the history, honor the sacrifices, and stand on the same ground where our community’s Revolutionary story continues to be remembered.
