A&A Balloon Rides, LLC

A&A Balloon Rides, LLC Hot air balloon rides are one of the most fascinating experiences you will ever have. You'll see New Hampshire in a way that ground-bound travelers never do.

Young or Old we are confident that with our pilot Andre and his 23+ years experience you will walk away with the memory of a lifetime and a story to share for years to come! The roar of the burners as you rise into the sky, then the silence of floating, drifting with the winds, looking down on trees, lakes, farms and fields. Hot air balloons are something special in comparison to other forms of av

iation. You don’t feel the wind, you are a part of it, almost not even realizing that you are moving. Hot air balloons drift gracefully above the ground at heights of 500 to 2,000 feet where peace and tranquility over whelm you as you float over the tree tops above the beautiful New Hampshire countryside. Nobody forgets their first balloon flight. It is truly an experience that cannot compare to anything else. The sensation of flying over trees, lakes and streams, spotting deer and other wildlife is unique and inspiring. If you really want to make a lasting impression, a hot air balloon ride is the ultimate "unforgettable" gift. Hot air ballooning is one of the most unique and popular attractions in New Hampshire. We look forward to giving you one of the most “uplifting” experiences that can be had in a hot air balloon, based in Derry, New Hampshire we offer Hot Air Balloon rides perfect for "every" occasion just 30 minutes from Boston, MA.

We had a great time at the Quechee Balloon Festival this past weekend!

Almost exactly 24 hours ago, several photographer friends and I stood on the shore of Dewey's Pond in Quechee, Vermont, entirely spellbound by one of the most magnificent displays of hot-air balloons we'd ever seen. We began the morning about an hour earlier with a host of other spectators crowded onto the Quechee Covered Bridge as we waited in ideal conditions of clear skies and calm air for the first ascents to begin at the 45th annual Quechee Balloon Festival - Hosted by the Hartford Area Chamber of Commerce. The initial launches were glorious as we listened to the roar of the Ottauquechee River tumbling over the dam, but the wind took the balloons just a shade too far to the north of our location for perfect reflections in the water. After photographing a few more brightly colored dirigibles as they rose skyward and drifted away, several of us relocated about a mile downriver toward Dewey's Pond, where we found water as smooth as glass and many of the balloons congregating as though they were a flock of radiant birds making a brief pause on their migratory trek. Balloon after balloon dipped their baskets toward the water, paused briefly as if quenching their thirst, and then zipped back to their heights, a maneuver known as a "splash and dash." The whole morning was a magical experience, which I was delighted to share with many amazing New England photographers including my friend Francois de Melogue. More photos to come!

Hot air balloons do not typically land at the same location as they are completely at the mercy of the wind—they don't have steering wheels or engines. Pilots can only control up and down movement, using different wind directions at various altitudes to try to guide the balloon.
