Great Escapes Travel Group Selling memories, one trip at a time! My husband and I had the opportunity to travel because of his job. We visited many places we would not have seen otherwise.

In 1988, we experienced our first cruise and immediately fell in love with this concept of travel! We would cruise whenever possible and, because of my enthusiasm, I introduced many co-workers to this form of travel as well! After retiring in 2011, we continued to travel/cruise. lp others with their travel plans! My husband and I began traveling long before the internet and, therefore, had to use a travel agent for our travel plans. I was continuously frustrated with the lack of knowledge the agents had regarding locations, ships, excursions, etc. There was lots of information if you were going to Disney World, but not if you were going on a cruise! I would have many questions, none of which could be answered by the agents. They were there to book your trip, arrange your airfare and take your money. For this reason, it is important for me to know as much as I can about the products that I sell and the places you go! If I know what various ships offer, I have a better knowledge of which ship will be the best for you and your family to have an amazing vacation! Most would consider this a job, however, I consider it a blessing! What is more rewarding than making people happy!!

Cruise on MSC's newest ship, the Seaside. The Seaside was a beautiful ship with great entertainment. We had an opportunity to try two specialty restaurants, The Butcher's Cut and Teppanyaki, and were impressed with both. Our Chef at Teppanyaki was amazing and kept us entertained during the entire meal. The Butcher's Cut had the largest shrimp I have ever seen in a shrimp cocktail.

After a week on the Carnival Splender, I have returned from the Seminar at Sea with valuable knowledge about Carnival Cruise Lines. Although the itinerary had to be changed due to the damage from the hurricanes, it was still a great week! It’s always nice when you can combine work and play!
After a de-icing, we headed to Miami where the Intercontinental Miami welcomed us with a panoramic view of the cruise port from our room. It was quite a sight to see 6 ships lined up and ready to take thousands of passengers on amazing vacations! After a tour of Bayside and dinner at Bubba Gump, it was time to retire after a long day that began @ 6:00am!
Embarkation was much faster now that Carnival assigns a time for check-in and your sail & and sign card is waiting at your cabin mailbox.
Although we could not go to St. Thomas and San Juan, we did make it to the Dominican Republic where we visited a chocolate factory and learned how to roll a cigar! Nassau, Bahamas was another stop. Although I have been here many, many times, this had to be my favorite visit! If you want an unforgettable experience, go to the Ardastra zoo! You get up close and personal with Flamingoes!! They are absolutely beautiful! I have to say that was the highlight of the trip for me!!
Other than some slightly rough seas, additional itinerary change and temperatures in the 40’s upon arrival in Miami, it was a very enjoyable trip! Having the opportunity to meet other agents you can share information with is a bonus to the information you receive at the Seminar!

Our Story

I had the opportunity to travel because of my husband’s job.

In 2013, I was presented with the opportunity to work in the travel industry. I was so excited to be in a position to help others with their travel plans! My husband and I began traveling long before the internet and, therefore, had to use a travel agent for our travel plans. I was continuously frustrated with the lack of knowledge the agents had regarding locations, ships, excursions, etc. There was a lot of information, if you were going to Disney World, but not if you were going on a cruise! I would have many questions, none of which could be answered by the agents. They were there to book your trip, arrange your airfare and take your money. For this reason, it is important for me to know as much as I can about the products that I sell and the places you go! As a Certified Cruise Counselor with the Cruise Lines International Association, I devote a considerable amount of time researching various destinations and cruise lines. If I know what various ships and destinations offer, I have a better knowledge of which ship will be the best for you and your family to have an amazing vacation!

If cruising is not your vacation of choice, that’s fine. As a Universal Authorized Travel Specialist and graduate of the College of Disney Knowledge, I can assist you in creating an amazing vacation at any of the world famous theme parks.

Don’t want to be that active on vacation? As a Certified Sandals Specialist, I can find the perfect Sandals or Beaches location for you to relax and be pampered. All-inclusive resorts, such as Sandals and Beaches, take the stress away and let you enjoy your vacation. You can even book a room with your own Butler!
