Happy 4th of July, the US's 250th birthday.

There's much to be said that we cannot and should be proud of, but that's not the point of today. There's some things left to be proud of; our National Parks and monuments and the dedicated parks rangers and staff fighting to defend them. The surge of interest in civic service that is constituent and actually family focused. National delicacies like fried oreos, burgers piled high with the most audacious toppings, and apple pie so sweet it'll knock your teeth off. The fact that nothing has unified this country more in over a decade than our collective cackling over the joke that is the reflecting pool.

Happy 4th, enjoy your garbage foods, sugary drinks, and explosives. Nothing says a good birthday bash like explosives and booze! 🎆🇺🇲🎆
