Proof that sometimes the best memories come from the craziest decisions!

🚶‍♂️💡 Picture setting out on a nighttime journey, light barely illuminating the path ahead. You can’t see every twist and turn, but you have just enough clarity for the next step. Life—and travel—often work the same way. We don’t always have the full map, but we are given the guidance we need and instincts to make a shift

That said… one time I absolutely did not trust the process was driving up to the top of Mount Teide mid-day. I had the brilliant idea to catch the sunset while in Spain, and —bless her for not stopping me—let me drive up a mountain with narrow roads, no lights, no street signs… AND I’m afraid of heights. 🤦🏽‍♀️

It was a hoot experiencing this with my BFF, but let’s be real—we were batsh*t crazy 🤣🤣.

What’s a trip that tested your trust in the journey? Drop your wild travel stories below! ⬇️

Just a reminder that more than 50 Western NC mountain towns have reopened to visitors since Hurricane Helene hit in September 2024, and many of them DESPERATELY need more visitors.

The $$$ you spend while visiting local attractions, staying in locally-owned hotels/B&Bs, dining at local restaurants, and buying from local stores is absolutely vital to local economies that have suffered HUGE losses over the last 5 months.

Please remember them as you plan your 2025 travel adventures! ❤
