On Feb. 12, AABA officer Joseph Sung moderated a conversation with California Supreme Court Justice Goodwin Liu and Ajay Mehrotra, Professor at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, who discussed their research in connection with “A Portrait of Asian Americans in the Law 2.0: Identity and Actions in Challenging Times.” Portrait Project 2.0 is an update to a study that canvasses Asian American attorneys for insights into law school enrollment, career advancement, and political participation. The event drew a diverse crowd of law students, judges, as well as attorneys from different practice areas and sectors. Through events and programming, AABA will continue to offer its members and the legal community a welcoming space for dialogue about diversity, inclusion, and success in the legal profession.

We encourage our members to read Portrait Project 2.0 (https://www.apaportraitproject.org/) and ask our members to contribute to the Project by participating in their latest research survey (https://lawcolumbia.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2s2oe6bfwjjKstg) that focuses on the experiences of lawyers of all backgrounds who have worked in law firms. Please note that completing this survey may take between 20-30 minutes.
