This month on Gettys On The Road, our teams covered a lot of ground.
📍 Kapalua Bay, Hawaii — Immersing in the market, property, culture, and history to build a deeper understanding of the destination and inform future recommendations.
📍 Austin, Texas — On the ground for research and a pitch, gathering firsthand market and destination context to inform our approach and celebrating Ryan’s birthday along the way.
📍 Sardinia, Italy — Kicking off a new project with an immersion into the destination, building an understanding of place, culture, and context that will help shape the work from the start.
📍 Lansdowne, Virginia — Walking an existing property to understand what’s working, identify opportunities, and explore what a renovation could unlock for the guest experience.
📍 Muncie, Indiana — Checking in on construction progress at The Cantio, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, reviewing the details and coordination that are critical to bringing the design intent through construction.
As Melissa put it, some of the most important work is the work no one will ever see once the drywall goes up. From immersing ourselves in a destination to solving details on the job site, being there gives us a deeper understanding of what it takes to move a project forward.
And sometimes, there are birthday celebrations and free cupcakes along the way.
