🏥 Built in 1883 to serve Chicago's growing North Side, Grant Hospital expanded from just 13 beds to nearly 300 before closing in 2008.

Today, the former hospital has been redeveloped into apartments, but its ghost stories continue to linger.

Legend says the spirit of a little boy who died during the 1867 cholera epidemic still roams the third floor, while the ghost of a World War I soldier has also been spotted.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀 One of the holiday’s most recognizable symbols is the leprechaun, whose story goes far beyond festive decorations.

In ancient Irish folklore, these solitary fairy shoemakers were known for guarding hidden gold and outsmarting anyone who tried to steal it.

Their mischievous tricks made them one of the most memorable figures in Celtic legend.

In 1944, Mattoon, Illinois became the center of a chilling mystery.

Over the course of 12 days, 33 residents reported paralysis and illness after smelling a sweet odor in their homes.

Newspapers called the unknown culprit the “Mad Gasser of Mattoon.” 🗞️

While officials blamed mass hysteria during wartime, other theories have never fully disappeared.
