Summer is winding down, so naturally… we are already thinking about Christmas markets. 🎄
A winter trip to Poland is easier to plan than you might think. You can fly into major cities such as Warsaw, Kraków, Gdańsk, Wrocław, or Poznań, then explore their Christmas markets right in the heart of the city.
It is one of the best times of year to experience Poland: historic squares covered in lights, stalls filled with handmade decorations, and plenty of seasonal food to try - from pierogi and grilled oscypek to gingerbread and hot spiced drinks.
Christmas markets take place all across the country, but Wrocław, Kraków, Gdańsk, Poznań, and Warsaw are especially worth adding to a winter itinerary. Each city has its own atmosphere, and thanks to Poland’s convenient train connections, you can easily combine two or even three of them in one trip.
Come for the Christmas markets, stay for the food, the beautiful cities, and the kind of warm Polish welcome that feels especially good in winter. ❄️🇵🇱
