Christmas in Chicago runs November through early January, with markets, tree lightings, and ZooLights. Here's what happens each month and where to stay.

🏈 **Football season is back in Chicago — who's coming to Soldier Field?**

The Bears have a great lineup of home games this fall, which sounds like a pretty good excuse to call a few friends and turn game day into a Chicago weekend.

**Coming up at Soldier Field:**

🏈 Sept 20 — Vikings
🏈 Sept 28 — Eagles
🏈 Oct 4 — Jets
🏈 Oct 22 — Patriots
🏈 Nov 8 — Buccaneers
🏈 Nov 22 — Saints
🏈 Dec 6 — Jaguars
🎄 Dec 25 — Packers
🏈 Jan 3 — Lions

And yes... **Bears–Packers on CHRISTMAS DAY.** 🎄🏈 Seriously, NFL? 😂

If you're coming in with friends, skip the separate hotel rooms. At Magic Factory Lofts you can each have your own bedroom (and in some of our lofts, your own bathroom), then meet back in the kitchen and living room for pizza, drinks and a little post-game analysis.

**Football may be the excuse. A weekend in Chicago is the bonus.**

Time to talk autumn in Chicago.

👻 Did you know Lincoln Park Zoo has graveyard roots?

On Tuesday and Wednesday nights throughout October, historian Adam Selzer of Mysterious Chicago Tours leads an after-dark walk through some of the zoo’s allegedly haunted corners—sharing stories about the land beneath the zoo and its more mysterious history.

Perfect for ghost hunters, Chicago history buffs, or anyone looking for a different way to celebrate spooky season.

I get the hesitation-I had the same questions before I started hosting. But once I saw how much travelers were actually paying in hidden fees on the big platforms, it clicked. When you book direct with me, there's no middleman taking a cut, no waiting hours for a response, and no guessing whether the host actually cares about your stay. You're paying less, talking to a real person who knows Chicago and your family's needs, and supporting a local host who'll make sure you have the best trip possible. That's the difference between a transaction and genuine hospitality.

Since opening our Magic Factory Loft short term vacation rentals in Chicago we've shared over 25,543 Tootsie Roll midges with our guests.

No wonder we have happy guests 😅😋
