It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of Ernest Laflamme Jr., a true pillar of our community and longtime friend of the Chamber.

For decades, Ernie gave his time, wisdom, leadership, and friendship to Chicopee. As a public servant, business leader, mentor, and tireless community advocate, he helped shape our city and touched countless lives along the way.

So many in our community have a story about Ernie — a moment when he offered guidance, opened a door, believed in someone, or simply showed up when he was needed. His impact can be seen throughout Chicopee, and his legacy will live on through the people and organizations he supported.

Our hearts are with his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rest in peace, Ernie. Thank you for everything you did for Chicopee. ❤️

Welcome to our New Member, St. Joan of Arc School / Ste. Rose de Lima Parish!
St. Joan of Arc School
Ste Rose de Lima

St. Rose de Lima began as a mission in 1897. The church began as a modest wooden chapel in Aldenville, with its first mass being held by the light of oil lamps in 1898. In 1909, Reverend Joseph A. Fredette became the founding pastor of Ste. Rose de Lima, the church in the heart of Chicopee. Over time, a newer, larger church was built in 1952, with many renovations over the years to make it more accommodating for parishioners, such as an elevator, handicap accessible entrance, and more. St. Rose de Lima Parish, on 600 Grattan street in Chicopee, welcomes the community for mass, discussions, support groups and more, found on their weekly bulletin.

St. Joan of Arc School is a ministry of Ste. Rose de Lima Church. Since 1914, St. Joan of Arc School has been educating students; the original school building was rebuilt in the current location on 587 Grattan Street in Chicopee in 1927, and though almost 100 years old, it features newer additions and wings including an auditorium, library, computer lab, and music room. St. Joan offers a faith-based education from pre-K to eighth grade, rooted in Christian values of respect, dignity, and compassion.

Welcome to our new Member, The Juice Box Piercing !

The Juice Box, located on Grattan Street in Chicopee, is owned and operated by Jeane Bean, a professional piercer with a lifelong love of jewelry and intentional adornment. Jeane’s passion for detail evolved into her career in piercing, rooted in precision, care, and creating positive piercing experiences.
