After a 2-month hiatus, the newest episode of the Travel Calumet Original Podcast debuts!

Episode 77 focuses on the recently opened world-class, championship-level disc golf course at Ariens Nordic Center in Brillion, which has been officially selected to host the prestigious 2028 U.S. Women’s Disc Golf Championship. Joining the podcast are Lindsey Krause, the President and Founder of the Lakeshore Ladies Disc Golf Corporation and representing AriensCo, Fred Krause, the Operations Coordinator for the course.

Ariens Nordic Center will celebrate the grand opening of its new disc golf course on Saturday, August 8, 2026, welcoming players of all skill levels to experience one of Wisconsin’s newest disc golf destinations.

Designed to host the 2028 U.S. Women’s Disc Golf Championships, the new course offers a championship-caliber disc golf experience while showcasing the natural beauty and terrain of the Ariens Nordic Center property.

Players of all skill levels are invited to attend the grand opening and be among the first to experience the new course. As part of the celebration, disc golf will be free to play throughout the day on August 8. Regular course fees will apply following the event. The event will also feature a Mini Flex Tournament, raffle prizes, and food available for purchase. Attendees will enjoy a full day of disc golf, competition, and community fun.

Event Highlights
• 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.: Free Disc Golf All Day
• 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.: Opening Day Mini Flex Tournament ($10 optional buy-in)
• Food available for purchase
• Raffle prizes by the Lakeshore Ladies Disc Golf Corporation
• Be among the first to play the future home of the 2028 U.S. Women’s Disc Golf Championships!

Due to expected demand, participants are encouraged to reserve a tee time in advance to secure their preferred start time. Tee time registration can be found through the UDisc app (https://udisc.com/app).

As of this writing there have been 10,705 downloads of the podcast by listeners in 84 countries and 923 cities around the world. Launched in late 2023, the show has become an audio guide for both residents and visitors looking to explore the hidden gems of Wisconsin's Calumet County.

The Travel Calumet Original Podcast has produced more than 75 episodes dedicated to showcasing local culture, seasonal events, and regional businesses. The episodes focus heavily on community stories and upcoming destinations, turning local initiatives into regional attractions.

The partnership includes a flight of commercial runs that started during the recent World Cup tournament and that will air through November.
