FUN FACT: Chincoteague ponies have adapted to drinking brackish water and eating salty marsh grasses on Assateague Island! 🌾🌊

Their salty diet can actually make them drink more water and give some of the ponies their characteristic round, “bloated” bellies—even though they’re living completely wild!
