Florida’s tallest waterfall can be found in Falling Waters State Park along with immense limestone sinkholes. Washington County is also the home to the largest wolf preserve in the Southeast at Seacrest Wolf Preserve. Many other outdoor activities await such as canoeing, kayaking, horseback riding, bird watching, hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, and more! 🇺🇲🇺🇲 The Patriot Guard Riders will present their Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall and GWOT Wall on October 8-10, 2026, at the Washington County Historical Society Museum & Chipley Train Depot in Downtown Chipley. 🇺🇲🇺🇲

Join us for this special ceremony to honor and remember those who served. The walls will be open to the public 24 hours a day during the exhibition.

Haunted Acres Florida will open its second year of the "Haunted Acres" attraction for the Halloween season, running from October 2, 2026 to October 31, 2026.

The gates open at 7 pm nightly, with the trail open until 10:30 pm. Walk through Kreepy Clown Playground, Murderer's Row, and the Fox Hollow Trail, if you dare! Stop by The Midway for all your ghoulish snacks and rock out to the live DJ while you recover between experiences.

NO costumes or weapons allowed on-site. Age discretion is advised.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office will hold its 8th annual PCA (Professional Cowboy Association) sanctioned rodeo this Friday and Saturday night, at the Washington County Equestrian Center located at 2574 Daniel's Lake Rd.

Gates will open at 5 pm nightly, with the rodeo beginning at 7 pm. Advance tickets are $10 per person. You can also purchase tickets at the gate for $12 per person. Kids under age 5 are free.

🚘 Join the Swamp barn Ebro for their 2nd Annual Charity Car Show on Sunday, September 6, 2026. 🚘

Car registration will be from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. The car show will run from 1-5 pm with awards being announced at 4:30pm. All proceeds will go to benefit the Washington County Council on Aging. Enjoy some great vehicles, good food, raffles, and live entertainment by Taste of Spice (Dionzia Santiago).

Join the Town of Caryville for its segment of Flea Across Florida, September 11-12, 2026. Vendors will be set up at the Caryville Flea Market and along Highway 90 on Friday and Saturday to welcome guests looking for some great thrift finds!

The Sunny Hills Civic Association will hold its Community Yard Sale on Saturday, September 12th, in conjunction with Flea Across Florida, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunny Hills residents can participate from their homes.
