Trying to make rope drop with the family but having a hard time motivating them to wake up? Nothing gets a kid out of bed and ready to go faster than the promise of ice cream for breakfast. Not the healthiest choice, but at Disney theme parks, the rules of real life don’t apply! And honestly, these are the moments they’ll remember—the pure joy of “vacation rules” and that legendary time they were allowed to start their day with dessert! While the true ice cream 🍦 shops may not open until closer to brunch time, here’s the trick: Hit up a snack cart or your resort’s quick-service spot and raid the freezer for a Mickey Bar or other frozen novelty and revel in the big smiles! 😁

When you ask my son what he is most excited about when we are headed to Walt Disney World, he always responds with "ICE CREAM!" and it makes me laugh every time. Disney trips are the one time we almost always say yes to ice cream. In fact, on our last trip he had 4 ice creams in one day. 😬 It's definitely not an every day thing, but ice cream for breakfast would get my family moving and grooving!

With so much to see and do, and so little time to do it, Disney parks vacations can come with a level of stress to do it all. While I always recommend touring with a solid plan, the small moments are often the most memorable. So, what’s it going to be for you: Mickey Premium bar or a classic ice cream sandwich?

🍫🎂 Happy National Chocolate Cake Day! 🎂🍫

What better way to celebrate your vacation than with some chocolate cake?! 🎉💫 There are always options for all tastes! Take, for example, these birthday cupcakes from Boma, the allergy cupcakes from my hotel's Grab-n-Go section, or the allergy friendly cupcake my son is chowing down from Erin McKenna's in Disney Springs! So many options! There are perfect treats throughout WDW to add some extra sweetness to your special moments. 🍰✨

Whether it's a birthday or just a celebration of life, chocolate cake always knows how to make everything a little sweeter. 😋

What’s your go-to chocolate cake or dessert for celebrations? Let me know! 👇

Everyone loves new and shiny, but the Disney Dream holds her own as a must-consider ship. Here’s why:

😁Shorter sailings at lower prices (3, 4, and 5 nights)
🛬Departing from Fort Lauderdale offers flexible flights and plenty of hotel options
😍Exciting itineraries: Nassau, Bahamas; Cozumel, Mexico; Disney Castaway Cay; and Disney Lookout Cay
🎄Specialty sailings: Marvel Day at Sea, Halloween on the High Seas, and Very Merrytime cruises
🎨Classic rotational dining: Royal Palace, Enchanted Garden, Animator’s Palate
🍽Adults-only dining at Remy and Palo
🎊Fun for all ages: AquaDuck water coaster, shows like Beauty and the Beast and the Golden Mickeys as well as kids clubs like Vibe for teens, Edge for tween and Oceaneer Club for ages 3-11

The Disney Dream is the ship I fell in love with Disney cruises on. It is beautiful and there is so much to do! I loved dining at the Artist's Palate, watching Broadway level shows, and just relaxing on the pool deck!

Do you have a DREAM of sailing on Disney Cruise Line? Send me a message and let’s chat. The fleet is expanding which means SO many more options to consider. What Disney Cruise Line questions do you have that I can answer?

"Is that Minnie Mouse’s car?!”😍 If you’ve been to Walt Disney World lately, you’ve probably noticed those adorable red and white polka dot SUVs zipping around. These are Minnie Vans, and yes—ANYONE can ride in one!🎉 They’re booked through the Lyft app and priced a bit higher than standard rides, but the perks can make them worth it. When should you consider a Minnie Van?

🏨Resort to Resort: Dining at a different resort? Since Disney buses don’t run resort to resort, Minnie Vans save you from multi-step transfers and wasted time.

🚌Park Closing: Long bus lines, far-off stops, and tired kiddos are no match for a Minnie Van’s convenience. Skip the hassle and head back to your resort stress- free. Early

🌞Mornings: Whether rope-dropping or heading to an early tour, Minnie Vans ensure you’re not at the mercy of bus schedules.

And don’t forget: with Minnie Vans, you get Disney Cast Member service, closer drop-off points, car seats, cartoons onboard, and extra space for strollers or shopping bags.

My family likes to use this service when we have breakfast reservations at another hotel or if we just need to get away from the hustle and lines for the included transportation. It is so fun because the Cast Member is full of Disney facts and helpful tips! We got a lot of great info from our last Minnie Van driver. The service is 100% worth it for us for those special moments.

So, what’s your take? Is this Disney splurge worth it for special occasions, or are Minnie Vans a must-have for your trips? Let’s hear it!

"What I Wish I Knew" - Disney Cruise Line Edition It’s true—you don’t know what you don’t know, but learning the hard way on vacation isn’t fun! Here are a few top tips for making the most of a Disney Cruise Line trip:

👨‍👨‍👧‍👦Not Just for Younger Kids:
Think teens won’t love it? Wrong! Between Edge and Vibe teen clubs, pools, and water slides, they’ll be begging to stay longer. Adults-only? DCL shines with Palo, Remy, Quiet Cove Pool, Senses Spa, Serenity Bay, lounges, and more.

🏊‍♂️Do the Activities:
There’s so much more than pools and movies—think trivia, crafts, character meet and-greets, live music, and Bingo!

📱Use the Navigator App:
This app is a lifesaver! Favorite activities to create your schedule and get notifications so you don’t miss a thing.

📅Arrive the Day Before:
Flight delays or traffic? That ship WILL leave without you. Arrive early to enjoy a smooth start to your trip

Disney cruises are a great way to travel the world while feeling pampered💆‍♀️ and still experiencing the special magic only Disney can provide. I can help you find the perfect cruise for your family, just send me a message!

What else would you add to this list? Share your tips for Disney Cruise Line first-timers in the comments!

Whether you’re on the Disney Dining Plan or paying out of pocket, it is hard to beat the way digging in at a Walt Disney World buffet gives you the biggest bang for your buck!💰 Wear your stretchy pants and make as many laps as you want. Camp out, hug on some characters and eat your faces off!🍽 What is your favorite buffet restaurant in Walt Disney World?
When planning where to eat while enjoying your Walt Disney World vacation, do you prefer buffet style restaurants, a traditional sit down restaurant or a mixture of both? Buffets are a great way to chow down on loads of food while rubbing elbows with some beloved characters, but they may not be everyone’s cup of ‘Ohana POG juice. What’s your preferred table service meal style?

👨‍👩‍👦My family are definitely buffet people. We each like very different things and have varying dietary needs. With Disney buffets, there is always something for each of us on the menu! My husband and I LOVE Boma and my son has been asking to go to Chef Mickey's for months!

🤔Now, I’m curious—what’s your buffet style? Are you a "try a little of everything" person, or do you stick to your favorites and go for seconds? Or if you’ve been to these buffets before, tell me—which one gets your vote for the best (or dare I say worst) meal? Let’s discuss!

Happy Birthday to ME! 🎉

My favorite place to be on my birthday is Walt Disney World! Although I won't be there today, my friend and I are going later this year to celebrate our birthdays together. We are going to have a BLAST doing all the Mom-ified Disney activities! Have you ever thought of Walt Disney World as a girls trip destination? If not, you may want to consider it! Here are some great ideas for those of us on the girls trip train:

*So many fun lounges and bars (even a dueling piano bar!)
*Fun painting and mosaic-making activities at certain resorts
*Pool and spa days
*Epcot's many festivals
*Renting a multi-person bike to see the views of deluxe resorts
*Fine dining options galore
*Behind the scenes tours and experiences

Plus so much more! I know my friend and I are so excited to experience many of these great adult-friendly options. Have you ever done an adults only trip or gone on a special vacation for your birthday? I would love to hear about some of the fun things you were able to do, see, and eat! If you would like any information about some of these offerings or have any questions, feel free message me or leave a comment!

Blizzard Beach is BACK—and better than ever! 🌊Walt Disney World’s Blizzard Beach Water Park has reopened, and it’s had some magical upgrades! If you’ve been thinking about using that free water park day perk on your check-in day instead of hitting the resort pool, what’s new might tip the scales in the water park’s favor, especially if you’re traveling with little “Frozen” fans! The Tykes Peak kid-friendly splash area now features “Frozen”-themed touches with Anna, Elsa and Olaf. Just think of the photos! Plus, they’ve added some new sweet and savory menu items that may give the sand pail ice cream sundae a run for its money.🍨 Add to that being able to walk over to Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course⛳ to use the Magical Extra free round of mini golf voucher and that’s a whole lotta fun on Disney’s dime!

My son is very excited to use this perk during our trip in February! He has never been to a water park, so why not start him at Disney? Even if your room is not ready yet, you can drop your bags🎒 with Bell Services at your hotel, change into your suites, and head to Blizzard Beach for an exciting first experience of your trip!

While it’s hard not to just drop your bags and hit the theme parks upon arrival, such a free and VALUABLE perk doesn’t come around very often. If I can answer any questions for you about Blizzard Beach or the free water park visit on check-in day perk, drop them in the comments!

HOORAY! It’s opening day for the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts!🎨 Let’s shine a bright light on the Food Studios, where the dishes look and taste AHHHmazing.🍨 Feast your eyes on these photos of small bites from past festivals. It seems like they get better and more creative every year!

If you didn't know, my family is going to Walt Disney World in February JUST to experience the Festival of the Arts in EPCOT! It was always a favorite of mine and for the first time in awhile our February break for our school district is during the festival! We love the food, the chalk art displays, watching live art demonstrations, and all things FIGMENT! We are so excited!

Now, let’s get real: I’m all about being strategic with your time and money.💰 If you are on the Disney Dining Plan, save your snack credits and use them at the Food Studios. It’s a great use of your plan! Or if you’re paying cash, do yourself (and your bank account) a favor and get a gift card for the amount of money you are budgeting for food and drink. It’s WAY too easy to keep swiping and eating without regard for what you’re spending. I may or may not be speaking from experience here.

Have you been to EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts? If so, is it all about the culinary arts for you? If you haven’t been but are curious, ask me anything! Drop a question or comment below or send me an email at [email protected]!

Jambo! If you are a lover of animals, Disney tours, or just want to try something new, Wild Africa Trek at Animal Kingdom is full of thrills, fun, and good eats! This isn’t something you can just show up and enjoy, so here is what you need to “know before you go”:

Who: Guests must be at least 8 years old, between 45-300 pounds (everyone gets weighed beforehand), and at least 48 inches tall. Under 18? Bring an adult!

Price and Times: The tour costs $219-$229 per person and typically runs at 8:45am, 10:15am, and 11:45am daily. Pro tip: Book the earliest slot to avoid the heat—it’s a 3-hour outdoor adventure!

Activities: You’ll explore Animal Kingdom’s habitats, dine on the savanna, and cross two bridges (over a crocodile habitat!). It’s safe, thrilling, and totally unforgettable.

Extras: The “snack” included is more like a meal, with items like tandoori shrimp, chicken wraps, fruit, and sweet treats. You’ll also get professional photos from your guide, plus a souvenir reusable water bottle to take home!

While this tour may not be for everyone, it is honestly a one of a kind experience. I have not personally done the Wild Africa Trek, as I am not as physically adventurous, but my husband and I did do the Savor the Savanna Tour on our honeymoon. It still involved up-close experiences with the animals, a unique souvenir, as well as beautiful food and drink ON the savanna. It was the highlight of our honeymoon and I see the Wild Africa Trek as a very similar such experience!

Have YOU tried this one-of-a-kind tour? Or perhaps a different one like my husband and I? Share your experience! If not, I’m happy to answer any questions you have!
