What makes Illuminare different? 
I think it’s this:
Illuminare is built around how women feel while they’re there.  Of course the locations are beautiful.  Of course we care deeply about where we lay our heads at night, about the menus we curate, about the details - I sink my heart into all of that for months and months leading up to each retreat.

But what I care about the MOST is feeling our ladies leave the week with.  Because most of the women who come with us are the ones carrying everything at home. Managing schedules, caring for everyone else, holding families and businesses together and making a million tiny decisions each day.  They get here and suddenly….. they don’t have to.  Someone is waiting for them with champagne at the door. Someone has already thought through every last logistic. Someone has already created beautiful moments simply because they deserve to experience them.  Maybe that sounds small, but those things matter.  Especially to the tired mind of someone in need of rest.  There’s something really powerful about spending a week feeling cared for instead of doing all the caring.  Yes we see incredible places. Yes we learn about cultures and eat amazing food. Yes we laugh a lot. SO much - it’s an ab workout every trip!  But somewhere in the middle of all of that - women reconnect with parts of themselves they haven’t in a long time.  And - AND - we’re building a whole community around it all the while. Those conversations that were full of real-talk and depth you had with someone on the last retreat just might be on the next retreat you’re on, too.  Building each other up. Building ourselves up. Building a community.  And connecting city to city - country to country - all across Europe.  I love this work so much.

January is already looking so perfectly cozy for our England retreat group - and we officially have a full house! Can't wait to enter the new year in a wonderfully restful and English manner in the countryside surrounded by a really great group. 🫖 This one will be so good for the soul.

We are headed back to this incredible region in July of 2027 - with a special SEVEN night retreat (a day longer than our normal retreat length!).

We will take in the absolutely stunning sights and sounds of Provence next summer. Our emphasis for this retreat will be visiting the morning markets, embracing the lavender fields, lingering by the pool - and taking a day trip to hit the coastline in the South of France.

Day 6, Part 2: A sweet departure begins. We gathered around the table for one last meal as a group. Surrounded by all things beautiful in a peaceful garden that gave us respite for one perfect week.
We shared our hearts and many toasts - and some tears, too - as we wrapped up this week in Provence.

Traveling alongside with this group was such a joy. Wonderful, WONDERFUL women.

Day 6, Part 1: A quiet entry into the day - with some sleeping in, journaling, and reading among the shady spots of the garden. A lazy morning that stretched into a relaxing afternoon with spritz poolside and lunch al fresco. The middle of the day spent strolling the beautiful streets of Arles - of course doing a little shopping along the way.

Day 5: Into the vineyards we go. When in France... and certainly when in Provence, it's a must do. A wonderful day tasting a bit of the land, eating delicious food, and taking advantage of wearing our PJs to a cozy dinner in... just because we can. (Fun fact: this ends up happening a lot on our retreats and it's almost never my idea - which just goes to show how comfortable the group gets with each other as the week goes on. I love it so much 🫶🏼)
