Bringing you a llittle Illuminare state of affairs so-to-speak to answer a few questions I’ve received often lately.

At the moment, Vienna will be the final retreat we will offer for 2027. Every other Illuminare retreat for the year is officially sold out.

Which means… we’re already starting to dream about 2028!

Behind the scenes, there are lots of conversations happening - ideas being tossed around and chats with our partners on the ground in different corners of Europe as we start to decide out where Illuminare heads next.

This is one of my favorite parts of the process, because I always want to hear from you, too!

Where would you love to go with Illuminare in 2028? Is there somewhere you’ve been hoping will show up on the calendar? A place you’d love to experience the Illuminare way? Tell me. I really do listen.

We’ll likely begin sharing our first 2028 retreats sometime in December or January. And a little reminder: as always, out waitlist gets first access to new retreats before they’re released publicly, so if there’s a future Illuminare trip with your name on it, that’s the place to be.

We are just a few weeks away from heading back to sun-soaked Southern Italy. We'll settle back into a property we've come to love through over retreats and are happy to call home yet again.

A place that seems to call you to relax the moment you arrive. I'm so excited for this group of ladies to meet, settle in, and experience all we have in store. Hoping for a restful, yet FUN week for all.

Well, this is a pretty special one. 🤍

Parade just published a full feature on Illuminare - and somehow managed to put into words so much of what I’ve been trying to create all these years.

Why the itinerary stays a secret.
Why every retreat includes a photographer.
Why women choose to join us.
Why the greatest luxury of all isn’t necessarily where you sleep or what’s served for dinner - but the feeling of being completely taken care of.

And why, in the end, the most memorable parts are almost never the ones I planned.

I shared a wonderful hour long conversation with Meghann Foye with Parade while I was in Ireland. In a little house on the seaside hoping my wifi would work for this special interview. It was so lovely to chat with you, Meghann - First as a woman, on a journey of your own - and second as an excellent interviewer.

Every. Single. One.

Condé Nast Traveler España has named ALL THREE of our fall 2026 retreats among the best autumn retreats of the year.

Three entirely different destinations and experiences. However, what each has in common is the same thread of belief: That desire to create an experience for women to travel in a way that allows them to feel truly cared for. To see the world in a way that allows them to slow down and take it all in, and reconnect with themselves along the way. 

When I started Illuminare in 2018, I had no idea where this little idea would lead. I only knew that I wanted to create something different. Experiences where women could arrive, release the responsibility of planning and simply let themselves be surprised. Where every detail had been handled and a place at the table was waiting where strangers quickly became friends.

To see every retreat we’re hosting this fall recognized by Condé Nast Traveler is pretty incredible.

I am so incredibly proud of what we’ve built.

To every woman who has trusted me enough to come along: you are such an enormous part of this story and I’m so deeply grateful to journey alongside you. 🤍

Day 6, Part 2: When the ladies returned home from Clonakilty, they were greeted by the sound of live traditional Irish musicians waiting for them.

The evening unfolded exactly the way I had hoped - cocktails in the garden, an impromptu Irish dance lesson (with plenty of laughter), and then a long dinner beneath a table overflowing with beautiful organic florals.

As the meal came to a close, we did what has become one of my favorite Illuminare traditions. We shared stories from the week, reflected on what we’ll carry home with us, and raised our glasses to one another.

There were tears. There was laughter. There were words that probably wouldn’t have been spoken six days earlier.

This is always the hardest part of a retreat. Saying goodbye to women who arrived as strangers and leave feeling like old friends.

Ireland, thank you for another unforgettable week. And to this beautiful group of women… thank you for trusting us with a small chapter of your lives. It was an honor to care for you. Until next time. 🤍

Day 5: Today was a little bit of everything.

Some kissed the Blarney Stone. Others cheered them on.

We wandered the wool mills, searching for sweaters and scarves that would forever remind us of our time in Ireland.

Then came cocktails tucked into the courtyard of a beautiful manor house before settling in for a long private lunch together.

The afternoon was ours to meander through the colorful streets of Cork, popping into little shops with no agenda other than seeing what we might discover.

And as always, we ended the day where so much of the magic happens - back at home. A home-cooked meal, good conversation, and a slow evening that reminds you there’s no need to rush through a place to truly experience it.
