🩵The Sands is a little hidden gem right on Grace Bay. I love the staff here- they couldn’t be more friendly! The grounds are very clean and tidy. They have a small gym, and of course the iconic restaurant Hemingway’s on the beach is right there serving all three meals, but brunch is my favorite! if you’re looking for bougie or fancy, this will not be a good fit, and full disclosure there is a large property under construction next door (St Regis) through 2027; however, I can recommend rooms farther from potential noise.

Living in a literal Hallmark town like Lebanon, Ohio has advantages… on sunny October days like these it feels like a romantic staycation. Take the laptop outside, go to a cute local coffee shop like Broadway Bagels, take a stroll through an antique store, browse the farmers market, hit the bookstore or library for a good mystery, or simply enjoy these pretty fall leaves turning.

Just home from Sandals in Jamaica with Dean, I was reminded that recharging our marriage is never wasted money…

I’m not trying to get deep here but there’s something to be said about the importance of investing in the relationships that matter most—especially your marriage.

Life gets so busy, and it’s easy to put your relationship on autopilot. Time away together creates space to reconnect, laugh, dine, talk, and remember why you chose each other in the first place.

This trip was more than a vacation—it was a chance to recharge, reconnect, and invest in us.🩵

Dining in your own space is so nice! We prefer to order room service (included with Club & Butler stays), and then do light beach bites for lunch, go out for a nice dinner- all included in the price of your stay! This isn’t average food- it is luxury. In fact everything about Sandals Dunns River is luxury…service, food & beverage, entertainment, rooms, pool and beach. 🤌🏼

📍Have you climbed Dunns River Falls here in Jamaica?🇯🇲💦

We had so much fun yesterday with our guides Tours at Dunns River and bamboo rafting! Our local guide Albert (native to Ocho Rios) picked us up at Resorts Ochi, and then told us all about this history of Jamaica going back to the time of Christopher Columbus, pirates, sunken island and treasure…. We really enjoyed our day🩵

Pro Tip: bring or buy a pair of close-toed water shoes or you won’t be allowed to enter the Falls, and bring a waterproof phone case for photos! Our guide Jakes took these for us! 📸
