Today, I have to give Jesus all the glory.
As many of you know, my passion for years has been wedding and event design and planning. But for so long, I was too afraid to take the leap.
After 19 years as a massage therapist, I was completely burned out, so I took a job at a dental office. Then, unexpectedly, in February, I lost my job.
That’s when Terry looked at me and said, “Don’t find another job. I believe now is the right time for you to start your business.”
I was terrified. I questioned him—and I questioned God—for weeks. But eventually, I stepped out in faith.
On April 1, I officially launched Terrie Lynn Events Co.
When I started, I prayed one simple prayer:
“Jesus, please let me book two weddings a month during my first year.”
As a brand-new wedding coordinator, that felt like a huge ask.
Fast forward to today—not even three months later—and I just booked my 17th couple.
I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. This journey has reminded me that even when we’re filled with fear, uncertainty, and self-doubt, God is still faithful. Sometimes He closes one door because He’s already preparing something greater on the other side.
Thank You, Jesus, for every opportunity, every couple who has trusted me, and for reminding me that Your plans are always better than my own. 🤍
