Joey has been connected to Liberland since 2017, initially serving as the Ohio representative before focusing more deeply on economic development and external partnerships. Over the years, he has contributed to Liberland’s constitutional work, founded the Liberland Aid Foundation, and currently serves on its board. His work on investment migration, blockchain, and sovereign frameworks has also been referenced by major international outlets, including Nasdaq.
During his congressional term, Joey’s mandate is clear and pragmatic: prioritizing economic partnerships, international outreach, and long-term revenue generation rather than short-term legislative activity. He has emphasized that Liberland’s credibility and future prosperity depend on building durable external relationships and aligning with innovative jurisdictions and network states.
A notable part of his background includes direct involvement in partnerships with Próspera (Honduras), where he successfully advocated for tax residency legislation. Próspera’s model, and its overlap with early Liberland investors, is one example of the type of economic cooperation Joey believes can strengthen Liberland’s financial foundations and international standing.
Looking ahead, Joey has highlighted international recognition as a long-term strategic objective, stressing that Liberland must act patiently and credibly. As he has put it, the work underway is about building institutions “for our children, not just for ourselves.”
We look forward to sharing more as his term progresses.
