Azores was magical!

We are thrilled to endeavor to mainland Portugal with an exciting itinerary that includes the beautiful city of Porto, the Douro Valley and the Peneda-Gerês National Park ⛰️🌲🌲 The dates for 2026 are July 11-17th.

The itinerary will be going live on the website later this month and registration will open September 1st.

Adding some more photos from of our Azores 2025 trip!

So many great memories and times together as a group.

Our final full day was highlighted by climbs up Lagoa do Fogo, picnic with Katia, swims in Caloura, birding, and dinner by the sea.

We have a very special trip planned for July 11-17th, 2026 to mainland Portugal. It will include the enchanting European city of Porto, the Douro Valley, Peneda-Gerês National Park, and beautiful hotels like the exquisite 12th century monastery hotel - Pousada Mosteiro. Registration will open on the RunQuest Travel website September 1st. Space is limited and we expect it will sell out.

We had an amazing week of adventures with everyone in the Azores!

There were so many special moments to take back and give a lift of positive energy whenever you want to envision that coastline trail, relaxing hotsprings or just the great laughs with the group.

We will be sharing more information ahead for next year’s trip. We are planning July 11th to 17th, 2026. Registration will open September 1st on the website.

Onward to Europe’s oldest tea plantation for lunch Amazing vegan chickpea burger, sweat potato fries and passion fruit sorbet.

Dinner in Ribiera Grande with 4 minute planks along with 15 minute plant from local 7 year old who joined the group.

Welcome to the Azores!😁

We have a lunch coming today (Saturday) estimated time probably about 1:15-1:30pm. It’s a poke bowl from Ponta Delgada that Luis and Bruno are bringing for everyone. 🥣 We will eat outside by the pool 🏊 Harvey will message you when the food arrives.

We will be leaving at 3pm for the hotsprings in Furnas!

The Azores await!

Saturday we will be welcoming guests and doing morning pick ups from the airport.

There will be a 7am run from the hotel lobby along the road for anyone interested. Basically 30 minutes out and 30 minutes back.

We welcome you to enjoy the amenities of the hotel as rooms may not be ready until 1 or 2pm. You can drop your luggage and go enjoy the pool or beach.

We will have a group welcoming meeting at 2pm on the terrace between the restaurant and pool.

We will be offering a trip to the hotsprings at Furnas at 3pm. It could be a 3 hour trip including the travel time.

Dinner will be having dinner at Rotas, a small tables, beautiful restaurant in Punta Delgado. There is limited seating so we will divide into two groups.

We will have an 8pm dinner and a 10pm dinner. We will get your choice at the 2pm meeting.

Getting the run in Manhattan before the late night flight out of Newark.

Newark air traffic has been challenging for passengers especially on afternoon flights. If there is any chance you can move your connecting flight to the morning if you are connecting to Newark tomorrow, I would suggest doing it (versus the afternoon flight) and enjoying the layover. It’s still no guarantee but it improves your probability.

Please update us of any travel changes. We are sorry for any of you who have experienced delays or challenges with your flights. We look forward to greeting you in the Azores!
