One of the things I love most about being a travel advisor is discovering places I might never have found otherwise.

Last week I spent time at Summerhill Guest Estate in Cowies Hill and was genuinely surprised by what was tucked away behind the gates.

Oversized suites. Mature gardens. Quiet verandas. A beautiful library. Thoughtful dining. And a sense of calm that makes it easy to forget you’re just minutes from Durban.

While many travelers head straight for the beachfront, properties like this remind me that some of the most memorable stays are the ones If you’re planning a journey through KwaZulu-Natal, this is one I’d happily recommend.

Unpack once for 10 days… and wake up in 12 different cities.

In March, I had the opportunity to sail through the Netherlands & Belgium with AmaWaterways — and it exceeded every expectation.
