New Zealand and Australia….Travel Discoveries is offering a group trip to NZ and Australia March 29th to April 15th, 2027. We again will have our own private transportation with a minimum of 20 passengers. Hello Travelers...We have had a cancelation on our Windstar Group departing January 30th and returning February 7th. This is a wonderful Caribbean Cruise on a sailing yacht. How about a cruise on a yacht!!! Windstar has a 148 passenger sailing yacht with 4 masts. Very cool. It’s the wind spirit. I can get a group rate starting at $3002.00 per person which includes drinks, unlimited wifi, gratuities, 200.00 on board credit, and 1 pre night hotel. Jan 31 to Feb 7th 2026. Southern Caribbean starting in Sint Maarten and porting in British Virgin Islands, Antigua, St Barth, Anguilla. Very cool sailing ship. Welcome to Belize...Our first resort in the jungle has been fantastic. On our first day, we visited Caracol to see one of the largest ancient Mayan cities in Central America. The temple is the highest structure in Belize. Fabulous day with a fantastic guide. On our last day, our server was trying to attract the Tucans with fruit and our hummingbird was there to greet us. We drove across a river to get to a cave that we explored by canoe. We both give this place a giant thumbs up. The service and food were wonderful and the tours that the resort provided are all private. They packed us a picnic lunch yesterday and the guide spread out a tablecloth and we had linen napkins, out in the middle of nowhere….Those of you who know me, know that I want air conditioning and a little luxury; however, this place is amazing…If you love the great outdoors, hiking, exploring…this is your trip and I can fix you up. Tomorrow we will travel back to Belize City to the municipal airport and fly out to Ambergris Cay for the beach part of this trip. Rainy season here starts in June, so definitely want to come February, March, or April. May is hot but you have the resort and attractions to yourself…More tomorrow when we arrive at the beach resort….

We spent 2 nights here, so did not have time to visit all restaurants. The buffet for breakfast was okay and pretty normal. We had lunch twice at Olios which was very good and outside. We had dinner in the steakhouse which was good but dinner in the Italian was outstanding. The rooms are a bit tired, but adequate. Very few rooms have balconys, ours did not. The bathroom has the shower in the bathtub, so you must be very careful getting in and out..Overall the service was very good. If you are a beach person, the preferred club is excellent. It has a much better position and service on the beach. The preferred pool is very cold and small. If you are a pool person, no need to spend the money on preferred. The pool with the swim up bar has very little seating so save early. They do allow saving seats with a personal item along with your towel. The beach has very soft white sand and is very walkable..Taxi back to airport was 47.00 plus tip. Lynch gives it a 7..Now it is off to Portland OR for my annual MAST Conference...

Next Stop Dreams Sands....Beach Lovers. This is your resort. You can see the beach from where the taxi drops you off. We are waiting on our room, so lunch first, then a picture of the pool with the swim up bar. Then the beach which is swimmable and walkable as you can see. Then the preferred club pool and chairs. Very compact...Our room is almost ready. More Later...

So we are leaving this property today and for my review, I will say that it is a fabulous family resort. Lynch gives it an 8 only because of the kids. They were jumping off the swim up bar seats and sitting at the bar even though they had a fantastic pool of their own with a great little water park...The food is great. We ate in all of the restaurants except the Asian. We decided the service was in the top 5 of any resort we have been in the world. Entertainment for adults is pretty nonexistent, pretty much geared towards families. Very clean property with top shelf liquor. Beach is better other places as you can see from the pics. Pool was great with a wonderful grill for lunch, including wood fired pizzas, tacos, wings, hamburgers and hot dogs. There is an adult only section on the sun deck, see pic, which is very nice. Because of the layout, food, and service, we would consider coming back. This afternoon, we are off to a different property. Stay Tuned..
