In 1986, the Holy Father had said, "Let the people go to Medjugorje if they convert, pray, confess, do penance & fast." 30 million+ laity and clergy have visited and returned home spiritually renewed.

Gospa, Our Lady, April, 1993:
Dear children! Today I invite you all to awaken your hearts to love. Go into nature and look how nature is awakening, and it will be a help to you to open your hearts to the love of God, the Creator. I desire you to awaken love in your families so that where there is unrest and hatred, love will reign, and when there is love in your hearts, then there is also prayer. And, dear children, do not forget that I am with you, and I am helping you with my prayer that God may give you the strength to love. I bless and love you with my motherly love.

"Dear children,
my motherly heart desires your true conversion and a firm faith so that you may be able to spread love and peace to all those who surround you. But, my children, do not forget: each of you is a unique world before the Heavenly Father. Therefore, permit the continuous working of the Holy Spirit to work on you. Be my spiritually pure children. In spirituality is beauty. Everything that is spiritual is alive and very beautiful.
Do not forget that in the Eucharist, which is the heart of faith, my Son is always with you. He comes to you and breaks bread with you; because, my children, for your sake He died,
He resurrected and is coming anew.

“Dear children Rejoice with me because the Most High permits me to be with you, to lead you to Him Who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Rejoice, little children, and be joyful also in difficulties and you will have the strength, because you will be aware that you are transient and you will know to offer everything to God. That is why, do not forget: I am your Mother and I love you. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Prayer and peaceful serenity is still present in this "heaven on earth", Medjugorje where Our Lady first appeared and is sent for us all by God for His plan.

Wednesday, July 29, 1981
(visionary Vicka's diary - 35th apparition, 6:30pm)
Today we waited for the Blessed Virgin in Vicka's room. At exactly 6:30pm, the Gospa came and greeted us:
"Praised be Jesus!"
Jakov was the first to question her on the subject of a person who was ill.
The Blessed Virgin said: "She will be cured. She must believe firmly."

Vicka asked Our Lady why she had not come the day before. The Blessed Virgin said something, and smiled, but no one heard it. Then Marija and Jakov asked her about certain sick people. We then took some religious articles, and the four of us approached Our Lady so that she would bless them. As Our Lady was blessing the articles our hands became very cold.
Jakov asked if we could embrace her. The Blessed Virgin said that we should approach, and embrace her. ...

She said: "Go in the peace of God."
As Our Lady began to disappear, on the ceiling, the Cross and the Heart were visible. The cross, the heart, and the sun are also mentioned by Vicka's diary in later apparitions.
In church we saw the Blessed Virgin a second time toward 8:00pm in the choir loft. While we were praying, the Blessed Virgin prayed with us.
